Review: Switch Me Up by Cristal Ryder **Ellora Cave's**

Switch Me Up
By: Cristal Ryder

Steve wasn’t sure how finding a match on a dating site could have gone so wrong—or was it so right? Younger than him by ten years, Clare exudes confidence, sexuality and an erotic allure that leaves no room for misinterpretation. She wants him. And he wants nothing more than to bury himself in her heat. But Clare comes with some baggage. Literally. Once his predatory minx breaks open the suitcase and the toys come out, Steve knows he’s in for the wildest ride of his life.

An EC for Men erotica story from Ellora’s Cave

I obtained the above information from Ellora's Cave!

I have now been picked to review for Ellora's Cave, so I was given this book for my honest thoughts and Review! So, let's get started!

For those of you that know me... and those that don't this is my little statement about short books.... I do not judge short stories on the rush of their relationships, because they are just that - short stories. So, yes the relationships always could have been drawn out more, yea it seems like they fall in love to fast and of course the story could have been made longer... but it is a short story. So with that said.... here is my review...

First, let me say that this is part of a new series by Ellora's Cave.... EC for Men line!!! Just wait to see what you will find!!!

Now, secondly... if you come to the Lair often, you will know that I love Ms. Cristal's storytelling. She knows how to heat up the pages, burn the sheets and give me the worst kinda hunger for some kinky, hot loving!!! She can whip you into a frenzy and you would never know what hit you.

This is a short book, so you know what that means... I can't give you too much because it would give it away... So, let's see what I can give you...

This is one hot story... The word quickie describes it quite well... but when you read it and you see the tease that Clare puts Steve through, you might think twice about the word quickie...

Steve was about to find out. He thought he went about it the right way... Putting down his likes and dislikes... Making sure all the right boxes were check... A couple dates for coffee and Steve was kinda sure he found a woman he could be okay with... A nasty divorce would leave anyone hard and Steve was no different... But he was hoping that Clare would be just what he needed to loosen up... And things were going great until Clare pulled her suitcase out and rocked Steve's world...

What was different about this book, Ms. Cristal got inside the mind of the man who thought he was in charge. The story is written from Steve's point of view... and it actually had me giggling thinking of what poor Steve was going through... He just wanted one thing... Or let's say that he only thought he knew what he wanted... Hahahaha... Clare had other things in mind for him!!!

Now, I will say that I did not see the book ending the way it did! Oh no, don't get me wrong, the ending was great... It made me feel like a satisfied hussy left purring in bed.... But, I really thought I would see something else happen... It didn't and I was okay, lol... This was just another awesome QUICKIE story from Ms. Cristal!!!!

What you got next for me Ms. Cristal... You know how to make this Hussy happy!!!!! *evil grin*

To see more of Ms. Cristal's world, please visit her world here!! You will enjoy, I promise!

And remember... Always keep it Dirty, Smutty & Hussy!Photobucket

Review: Fair Game by Patricia Briggs

Fair Game
Alpha & Omega #3

They say opposites attract. And in the case of werewolves Anna Latham and Charles Cornick, they mate. The son-and enforcer-of the leader of the North American werewolves, Charles is a dominant alpha. While Anna, an omega, has the rare ability to calm others of her kind.

Now that the werewolves have revealed themselves to humans, they can't afford any bad publicity. Infractions that could have been overlooked in the past must now be punished, and the strain of doing his father's dirty work is taking a toll on Charles.

Nevertheless, Charles and Anna are sent to Boston, when the FBI requests the pack's help on a local serial killer case. They quickly realize that not only the last two victims were werewolves-all of them were. Someone is targeting their kind. And now Anna and Charles have put themselves right in the killer's sights...

I obtained the above information from Amazon.com.

Let me say that I have been waiting for this book F-O-R-E-V-E-R!!!!! I started the series by picking up On The Prowl one day. It was an anthology with different stories in it but the one that struck me the most was Alpha and Omega. Charles and Anna... Ms. Patricia wrote a delicious short story of the beginning of their world and I was immediately sold on them... Especially Charles!!!!! OMG... Ms. Briggs created a world I wanted to devour from first page to last page and she had me begging for more. That one short story started my obsession for Charles... Okay and Anna because he does not go anywhere without her. She is kinda like a package deal... But still... Let me tell you more!!!

These two are an extremely rock solid powerhouse couple. They freaking rock the couple status, no matter what form they are in. They stand by each other through thick and thin.... And in this book, things get kinda scary because Charles has kinda shut Anna out. And nothing hurts more than your mate shutting you out. I do not care what you are/who you are... being shut out is never nice. But Charles is not doing it to be mean, he is doing it to protect her. But he doesn't realize is that what he is trying to protect Anna from could eventually destroy what he has with her...

Anna seeks out Charles dad, the Marrok - the commander in chief of the pack, to put a stop to what Charles has been doing... Being the enforcer and the executioner all in one has its disadvantages and carries around the ghosts of those that Charles had to end their lives is the price he pays... But Anna knows in her heart that - that price is just to high for anyone to pay. A price that could jeopardize her marriage and that is not a price she is not willing to pay.

So, Bran decides to give Charles another job... Sending Anna to help assist the FBI in a case that involves years of missing/murdered people... Therefore, leaving Charles to be her bodyguard. So that all Charles' attention should be on Anna and solving the case not on the ghost that are haunting him... Charles only wants to protect his mate... But not allowing her in, is slowly tearing her apart... But when Anna gets kidnapped... Will this Omega show her captors what she is made of while praying that her mate finds her in time...

Ms. Patricia gave me such a story that it left me wanting more. She set Charles and Anna in such a situation that had me cringing at the thought of what the villains were doing to their prey. She gave me the suspense and drama that always left me wanting... The villains were disgustingly evil and not who you would have thought they were... And yes, I said they... This story is freaky scary... Ms. Patricia gave me a good run for my money in this story... But I know there is more to come... RIGHT???

Now, I think it is kinda obvious that this is one of my favorite series to date! I am willing to wait another year for another chapter in Charles and Anna's life. It is just that good. I would definitely tell you to read from the beginning of this series. You probably can pick up any one of the stories and read and still know what is going on because Ms. Patricia does an excellent job at keeping you informed as to who is who and who belongs to who... But to properly educate you on the ***shivers*** basics of Charles, you should read from the beginning... Just to get the first taste of him... You will want to consume him and his world when you start reading, I promise. And believe me, he is anything but Fair Game with Anna around! =)

ARC Review: Cat Scratch Fever by Jodi Redford

Cat Scratch Fever ~ available April 2012

Who says a wolf can’t make a pussycat purr?

Perfect timing has never been Lilly Prescott’s long suit. Seconds before a showdown with werewolf Dante Morgan, who owns a property that by rights should belong to her, she goes into heat. Not a simple event for a lynx shifter. No, she’s doomed to weeks of frustration that can only be soothed by frequent rolls in the hay—or her hand. Unfortunately, Dante accidentally witnesses the latter.

Left shaken and highly aroused in the snow, Dante can’t believe he’s attracted to the woman who drives him crazy, and not in a good way. Worse, his father has issued an ultimatum. Marry, or abdicate his place as pack leader. On the other hand, it’s the perfect leverage. Lilly will get her land…in exchange for a wedding ring and all the sexual satisfaction she can handle.

Marry Dante? No doubt he’s a poster boy for Hunks ’R’ Us, but he’s rude, arrogant and Lilly’s sworn enemy. Not to mention the thought of losing her independence is frightening as hell.

When they find themselves falling victim to their own charade, though, it’s anything but hell. It’s heaven, and the last thing either of them wants. The real thing.

Warning: This book contains redneck werewolves, inconvenient hormones, and a whole new use for cat toys. Uncontrollable meowing may occur.

I obtained the above information from Ms. Jodi's place.
I was given this book for my honest thoughts! So, let's rolll...

Okay, I would normally put in my short story warning... but technically this is not a short story coming in under 175 pages. I am only saying about short story because I read it in one day... So, now that you know that, you can make your own judgement!!

Now... if you notice the first line under the title... I made it bold for you... That alone - if not the title alone - really made me want to read this book! I love Ms. Jodi's work. If you have time to check out my archives, you will see that I have a read a couple of things by her already. She has amazing talent! Her writing is soooo descriptive and thorough that I can almost smell the scents she describes, I can feel the tension she is creating, I can sense the danger lurking in the dark... To bad I can't actually feel what Dante feels like... But you know... It is just that good that if I close my eyes.. Well, that is for another conversation. But anyways....

Ms. Jodi's stories are full of everything that it takes to make me feel the story. She makes me smile with the happiness of the characters, she makes me frown when things don't go quite like they should, she really makes me want to bitch slap a woman.... She makes me feel the sexual tension in the air, she clearly makes me feel the lust, she makes me feel the love that could be there... If two people would just put their differences aside... Just maybe...

Lilly is a woman after my own heart... She is a special kinda woman. Well, besides being a lynx shifter, she is just a plain ordinary woman who feels the past of her parents has screwed up her chances at happiness. She knows her life is never going to be perfect. She has a sassy mouth on her and an even sassier attitude! And she is funny as hell. But she has a passion... And that passion is building a private retreat for the Lynchat Foundation. She has given this her heart and soul.... But one man stands in her way... Tall, dark, aggravating, obnoxious, handsome werewolf...

Dante... is that werewolf that stands in her way... Actually if truth be told, he is actually sitting his sweet ass down on what is in her way... Land that "legally" belongs to her family. A long time ago... During a poker game.. You see where I am going with this... Her grandfather bet the land to Dante's dad. So, rightfully, the land does belong to Dante and not Lilly... But that has not stopped Lilly from pleading her case to Dante every chance she gets. Which seems like it is all the time! Dante knows he is next in line to be the alpha of his father's pack. But the deal his Dad is trying to strike has this werewolf looking at other options... Dante really does not want the spend the rest of his life with a real wolf of a bitch (whom no one can stand)... But what are his other options...

These two are hilarious!! I love this story. I am not lying when I say the whole story is so descriptive you will feel like you are right in the story. You will feel the cold of the snow, you will feel the tension in the air when these two get together... but you will also feel the heat that radiates off these two, you will see the lust that is hidden in the evil glares they try to swap. Their banter is amazing. Ms. Jodi created these two with such stubbornness and bull headiness that their actual clashing becomes explosive!

They have obstacles to over come and a lot to deal with, but when these two drop the fences, leave the bitchiness alone and see each other for who they really are... It will blow your mind! This story has everything to make it the great story it is... There is love, hate, there is close call of death...

Have you ever wanted your man to fight for you with all he has? Did you ever look at your man and know with every fiber in you that he was yours... Completely, utterly... yours? Well, welcome to Lilly & Dante's world... Let's see what happens to make this Cat Scratch Fever!

Okay, now Ms. Jodi.... I am willing to bet that Shane, Dante's cousin... and Kinsley, Lilly's sister, are the next hook-ups!?!?!?! I love this series! Please, you have to give me more!!! You know I will be stalking you until I get it!

Review: Chains of Souls by Maria Zannini

Chains of Souls
Book Two
Maria Zannini

Banished from Heaven for refusing to harvest an unwilling soul, Liam Chase drinks to forget until the night he is visited by the Angel of Death.

For the price of a few humans souls, Ziva promises to get him reinstated into Heaven. Liam doesn’t doubt her influence, but milking humans of their light is an abomination, punishable by eternal oblivion.

He’d rather rot on Earth than commit such a heinous crime. But the Angel of Death didn’t get where she was by taking no for an answer. Ziva is a huntress of extraordinary skill and cruelty. If he refuses, his loved ones will be her next targets. And Ziva never misses.

I obtained the above information from Ms. Maria's blog place!

I was given this book for my honest thoughts and opinions... So here goes....

Okay, where do I begin. I read Ms. Maria's first book, The Devil To Pay, a while back and was simply blown away. It was an awesome start to a very intriguing series. Ms. Maria did not disappoint with book two. She has a way with her words and her story telling that makes you want to stop what you are doing.... or who you are doing and read her book. Hell, her story might even make you forgot what and who you were doing! Ha! It is that good. Her story really will enthrall you till the point you might forget what time it is and where you are.

Her first story wrapped around me, coiled my emotions so tight... She brought me through Heaven and Hell... With one woman, Shannon, and two men... Two brothers.... Liam and Michael... One from Heaven... And one from Hell... And she continued the story...

In the first story, all Hell broke loose for Shannon and she handled it the best way she could. She dealt with the hand that was basically given to her... In a world she didn't even know existed. But it is a world that is around us... even in today's world.

Shannon just melts my heart. She is a woman that you will want to be her friend and help her kick some "man" ass. She is torn between two men, one she can have and one she is denied of having. Her heart belongs to both of them... One actually owns her heart and the other... Well, she truly wants to give her heart to. But when you have two brothers who compete for everything... Sometimes a heart is not something you compete over, you simply just love it. But one wants to own it because he does not want the other brother to have it. Shannon's trials continue and this one is no different... Well, actually it is different because she thought her world was turned upside in The Devil to Pay, her world really flips over a couple of times in this one! Can the love for one man break her heart and crush her soul... Wait, she is soulless... But can a soulless woman find the one thing she desires more than the love of her man... Her freedom... But is freedom something she wants....

Liam, God... what can be said about the man who has fallen from the grace of Heaven. His heart is truly in the right place. His intentions are always for what's best for someone else... But the one woman who can change the course of his life and those that he loves comes to him with a deal - is it in the best interest of everyone to say no to her... Or just simply do her bidding and pray to the Heaves that kicked him out that no one finds out. Liam is torn and truly at odds with his decision, but when things go wrong... and I mean terribly wrong, he regrets every minute of every decision he made.... But can he ever make things right to win the heart of the one woman that means the world to him...

Michael knows what it is like to be through Hell and back... But owning a woman who wants to be with someone else... And that someone else being your brother... Is really a bitch. Then knowing her heart does not truly belong to him really bugs the shit out of him! Michael has always felt he was under his brothers shadow and this was something he felt like he "one uped" his brother with... Having the one woman Liam wants and could not have.... But when things start to fall to pieces and actually go to Hell in a hand basket does he really start to realize that it is not all about him...

The story just keeps getting better and better. Ms. Maria brought in a few more key players to the story of Heaven and Hell. Shannon's life truly gets more complicated and even deadly. But being a Shade is not always easy but she has some cool tricks up her sleeve... But being soulless is not what life is all about and being under the command of Michael.... And not being able to have the one man she wants, Liam... is truly like being in Hell.... Then let's add in the mix, Ziva, the Angel of Death who wants her dead just makes her day all kind of sunshine. **Insert bitch slap a woman** Omg.. Ziva makes the word bitch look like a compliment. I mean her title should tell you something, but believe this woman puts the extra step in her title. And right now Shannon is at the top of her list! So... if you think you were having a bad day... Let's just be thankful the Angel of Death does not have your number!

Damn, I want more of this story like now!!! I have to know what is going to happen... Because Ms. Maria... like it or not, you have to give me more! I need to know... Or should I just be honest and say I want more Liam and Michael.... And of course I need to know if Evie and Aiden will get to be together indefinitely... Come'on... I mean this series is freaking kicking! The adventure Ms. Maria will take you on is one I promise you will enjoy... The men are smoking hot, the sex is hot.... *not explicitly so ~ but just enough*, the action and drama is just right and the suspense will kill you... Okay... Now I am ready for book three!!! Hint hint hint!!!! I demand more Liam, Shannon, and Michael... Will the brothers learn how to share... Will Liam's old soul win over Shannon... Or will Michael learn there can be a little Heaven in his Hell? But it all comes at a price from The Chains of Souls...

If you want to see more of Ms. Maria's world, please go to her homepage and explore!

ARC Review: Dark Soul 4 by Aleksandr Voinov

Dark Soul Vol 4
Aleksandra Voninov

In “Dark Rival I,” the noose tightens around Stefano Marino’s neck. While Silvio and Franco are off taking care of the Russian problem, mutiny brews in Stefano’s crime family. It soon becomes clear he can trust only one man in his life, but whether he can hold on to Silvio—and what it might cost his marriage—are questions for which he has no answers.

In “Dark Rival II,” Silvio returns from his mission. Job done, threat gone, Stefano knows Silvio has no reason to stay. Or so he thought, anyway, until Silvio makes his move. It seems Silvio wants only sex, but Stefano is well aware there’s much, much more on the line. Including Donata, whose suspicions of a mistress in Stefano’s life are uncomfortably close to an even more uncomfortable truth.

Hopeless and helpless as his life crumbles down around his head, Stefano gives in to his desires in “Dark Temptation.” He isn’t any closer to understanding Silvio—and he’s farther from Donata than he’s ever been—but at least he’s come to understand his own needs. Now if only he could figure out how to be himself without hurting the ones he loves the most.

I obtained the above information from Riptide Publishing!

I am just warning you.... This is a review about m/m reading. So, if this is not your cup of tea... just drop a line and say hi!! If this... then keep reading!

Dark Rival I ~ Stefano is starting to feel the heat. But this time, instead of the heat coming from the enemy... It is coming from his own "family." That is never a good sign when your family starts to doubt you or your actions. Threads start to unravel and things start to slip... All the while, Stefano is learning a few hard lessons about himself but those lessons might come with a price he's not willing to pay. Or is he? The drama, the intense suspense, and the affairs keep getting darker and darker. Aleksandr, you are a wicked person! The story just keeps getting better. And damn you for making me stay up late reading it! Now off to read...

Dark Rival II ~ The war may be over but Stefano is still fighting a battle... But is it a losing battle? Is it going to be one where he gains all that is needed to win or is he going to lose everything and have nothing and no one to run to when it's over? Stefano is playing a dangerous game, one where someone is bound to get hurt... Lives have been lost, trust is slowly bleeding away, and love is giving way to lust. One wrong word could crumble his life.... Will Stefano stand up and be the man he needs to be, the boss he declares himself, the leader of the family... Or will he succumb to the ways of a coward and run? Damn this story is getting better and better!

Dark Temptation ~ Oh damn, it looks like the dam has broke and Stefano has just about lost his control when it comes to Silvio. The story is not over... Nope... There is more to come with book five. Of course there is more... Why because we have to find out if Stafano can have his cake and eat it too, I mean just because the Russians are put out of their misery doesn't mean there will not be retaliation from someone... Or hell, who knows if his own "family" won't try to turn over his position. There is always mutiny brewing up... Or is that the affairs... Hummmm... Who knows???

Review: Hunter's Prey by Moira Rogers

Hunter's Prey
(Bloodhounds #2)

Upcoming Release Dates: March 06, 2012 (ebook)

Wilder's Mate & Hunter's Prey will be combined into one print volume. See the print collection for more details.
Ophelia retired from life as a prostitute, but her new position is even more complicated. Managing the bloodhound manor in Iron Creek is difficult and time-consuming, a job she enjoys less with each passing day. Then there's her inconvenient attraction to Hunter. The newly turned hound seems eager to enjoy her company, but wary of anything more intimate.

Having survived the violence of his first full moon out of a cage, Hunter isn't looking forward to his first new moon. Ophelia offers to be the woman who sates his needs during the three long days of sexual fury, but he can't abide the thought of hurting her in a state of mindless lust. Especially since she longs to settle into a respectable life, and his needs are anything but respectable.

Their mutual goal is simple: avoid entanglements. It's a solid plan, at least until a vampire drug lord and a couple of nosy Guild representatives force them to work together to defend their friends and everything they hold dear--including each other.

Warning: Contains a mostly feral, vampire-hunting hero and a tough survivor of a heroine whose retired-hooker heart is more steel than gold. Also included: dangerous frontier intrigue, fancy brothels, mad-scientist weapons and a good dose of wicked loving in an alternate Wild West.

I obtained the above information from Ms. Moira's website.

If you come to the Lair often you will know that I am a fan of Ms. Moira's creative worlds. She creates worlds which you can lose yourself in and escape into the fantasy of a story so well told that you might actually think you are in it. Her stories will move you, shake you, entice you, and make you desire more. Her writing has developed stories that will make you happy, then sad only to bring you out to intrigue you. Her stories will draw the suspense out, brings the needs of characters to a boiling point. She wraps you around the world she creates with just words but will leave you breathless.

This story is no exception. Ms. Moira has created this world of Bloodhounds that will make you blood run hot and your dreams even hotter. Their world will rock you with the inventions, the action and the hot freaking, sexy alpha men!

Hunter is new to the lifestyle of the bloodhound world... New to the things that make him what is he. But at the same time, lost to a past of what once was... Hunter really struck me because he really wore his heart on his sleeve; although, I'm sure If you asked him, he would not agree with me, lol. On the outside, he is all tough and he-man... But on the inside... He is a big teddy bear with a hellva possessive streak. And that has to do with one woman.... The one that could be the death of him...

Ophelia, now she is one strong woman. She manages a home for the bloodhounds. Her past may color other peoples thoughts about her but she really doesn't care. Her past was a hard life, most woman would cringe at having to live it. But she did what she had to do to survive and for that I admire her and her strength. But wanting to leave the manor and being on her own has always had it's appeal to her until a Bloodhound named Hunter came to the manor and took her world by storm.

This is a story about two people who feel a little lost in the world in which has not had given them to many shining moments. In fact, life has dealt both of them some crappy hands. But its what they have done with those hands that has made them who they are today. Two individuals that come together to give you one hellva story. These two have given Ms. Moira a run for her money to write. They are both stubborn and determined to make it on their own in this world. Which only makes their tale so worth the ride.

Ms. Moria, these stories just keep getting better, hotter and more dangerous. The men are bad asses to the bone and make for some delicious lovers! The woman are just as bad, they know how to take care of themselves but know how to give so their men feel wanted... and needed. The combination of characters in this series is quite intriguing and the missions sometimes turn deadly... I will say, Wilder still makes my heart beat... but damnit if these men are not giving him a run for his money! Awesome job Ms. Moira... keep these men coming!!!

If you want more to see more on Ms. Moira, please go to her website and enjoy!!!

Review: A Chip In His Shoulder by L.A. Witt *Riptide Publishing*

A Chip In His Shoulder
L.A. Witt

“Contract killer” is a fitting job for a vampire, and it suits Liam just fine. Cast down from the wealth and status of the Sky for taking a human lover, Liam lurks in the poor and pollution-choked Gutter, killing to survive. Between his natural strengths and his Cybernetix mods, no mark has ever escaped him.

Liam’s ex-lover Daniel is the heir to Cybernetix—and its greatest threat. Horrified by people less man than machine and the exploitation of Gutter factory workers, he’d rather destroy Cybernetix than inherit it . . . if his father doesn’t destroy him first.

Years of anger and a heap of mods have kept Daniel and Liam apart. When Liam is hired to slaughter a man in his glass Sky tower, he walks right into a Daniel-shaped trap. Daniel’s father has betrayed them both, and only by working together can Daniel and Liam survive the coming day. They have no reason to trust each other, but as the dawn looms, a bargain that began with the simple urge to live soon reminds them of the love they once shared. Can they find each other again, or will the Cybernetix assassins find them first?

I obtained the above information from Riptide Publishing website.

Also, I will leave you with the warning that this is a m/m book/review. If m/m is not your cup of tea... or if you are not sure this fits in your comfort zone, you will not offend me if you if you just stop by to say Hi and maybe say Hi to Ms. Witt! Now... let's get started!

I was given this book for my honest thoughts... So, here goes!

In the writing world, I am a new reader of Ms. Witt's work. I have seen her work here and there but I never took the dive into reading her work. I am not sure why... but I am here to say that I have rectified that. Being this is my first story by Ms. Witt, it took me a few short minutes to fall into this world. It was not hard... just a little mind setting change I needed to do. I am not sure if this would fall under sci-fy or not.... but the lingo was what I had to get use to. But after adjusting myself with that, this book was great! I love how she used her characters to the best of their abilities... They were so descriptive, but not to a point where it was too much. She threw me in a world of bleak, ominous, treacherous, thievery, and deceit. But she brought me out with a tale of two men facing the worst adversary they could possibly face ~ each other.

Liam is a vampire... But not just any ol' vampire... Oh no, he has been modified more times than a rebuilt mustang. He is okay with all of the latest technology built into his body, seriously. It gives him the edge he needs to do his job. Killing. Sorry, don't mean to break your heart... he is what he is. But he does redeem himself with his latest assignment. He actually does more than redeem himself, hell, he almost dies for this assignment. Just when you think love doesn't mean anything... It proves you wrong. Or at least it does for Liam!

Daniel on the other hand, is a rich, spoiled man. He lives above all the poverty and disgust of what the world has become. But what most people don't know is that even though he might appear spoiled and living in the world of luxury... He is also plotting something that will help those less fortunate. But Daniel knows it is only a matter of days before his time expires... He knows that his Dad knows he knows to much ~ against him. But Daniel was a little surprised at who his Dad would get to go after him.... His ex-lover of all people. But is the old saying true... If you love something and you let it go... If it comes back, it was meant to be... Even if it was sent to kill you... Well... Let's find out shall we!

This is a great book. The adventure, the lies, the deception, the hurt, Ms. Witt gave it all to me in a little package. She made the story just right. I enjoyed the whole story in about a day, it was just that good. It amazed me, it shocked me, but most of all... it made me fall in love. These two characters came together when really... the odds were stacked against them. This was an intriguing tale of lies and betrayal. But the main thing to remember is love always knows how to bring back what was truly meant to be... But I will promise that you will laugh at these two. They truly do make a great pair! Especially when Daniel shot Liam!!! Never would have saw that coming!! HA... that alone will make you want to read the book!!!

Ms. Witt, you did an awesome job at bringing me in a world that I am use to and making me fall in love with it... So much so, that I just know that you are giving us more of Liam and Daniel taking on the upper world... Right?!?!?

Also, if you want to drop by Ms. Witt's website, please go here...
I warn you... She has two personalities!! =) Which is always a good thing! Enjoy!

Review: Once A Marien by Cat Grant *Riptide Publishing*

Once A Marine
Cat Grant

Discharged under Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, former Marine major Cole Hammond is struggling to find a new identity. But PTSD casts a pall on everything, and his hard-nosed, homophobic father can’t even bear to look him in the eye. To top it all off, he’s pretty sure he’s flunking out of law school.

Marc Sullivan is a kind, sensitive romance author-slash-waiter with a thing for men in uniform. Cole’s not wearing his anymore, but there’s no mistaking the warrior Marc meets in the diner one rainy afternoon. Cole’s sexy smile and Carolina drawl prove irresistible, but Marc’s played this game before, and he always loses. Once a Marine, always a Marine, and if there’s one thing Marc knows about such men, it’s that they all leave him in the end. It doesn’t help that Cole’s practically closeted in public, or that he refuses to seek treatment for his PTSD.

But like any good Marine, Cole’s willing to fight for what matters. And like the characters in Marc’s stories, he’s certain that if only they try hard enough, together they can find their own happily ever after.

I obtained the above information from Ms. Grant's website.

If you haven't gotten it from the cover, then by the blurb... This is a m/m book and review. Those of you know if this is your cup of tea and others know that this isn't your cup of tea. Remember, you won't offend me if you don't read the review. Just drop down below and say hi! You know I love hearing from you guys! Now that I got this out the way, lets start the review...

Ms. Cat Grant is a new author to me and I have to say this was an awesome story to wet my appetite. Ms. Grants writing intrigued me, it actually lured me in word by word. Her style is sweet and slow, tasteful and lustful with a touch of heartbreak. Her writing captivated me. She gave me things I missed in my m/m loving. She gave me truth, real issues, real disappointment, real heartache but she gave me a love that was so sweet to watch blossom, so endearing it almost made me cry.

Marc is down on his luck with the shitty economy. Working in a diner while holding a master's degree wasn't exactly his vision for himself at thirty years old, but what the hell else could he do. At least working in the diner gave him the freedom to write his books, his true passion. Marc was as happy as happy could be about the way his life was going. Sure, he had his fair share of boyfriends he wish he could forget, but don't we all have those. But loving Marines sometimes comes at a high price of heart break. Not completely ready to give up on the entire species of men.... He still believed his Once Upon A Marine was still out there.

Cole was a Marine through and through. However, being gay didn't make it easy for Cole in the military. But the truth had to come out sooner rather than later. Coming to terms with his sexual preference was something Cole was finally coming to terms with.... On his own terms. Cole struggled with everything from coming to terms with his sexual nature, to having his family accept the truth about his coming out, struggling with leaving the Marines, struggling to keep the nightmares at bay... to struggling with law school. The last thing he wanted to struggle with was a relationship... That was until he met Marc. The one person that got him. But what would it cost Cole to open his heart and soul to have Marc be a part of his world.

Ms. Cat gave me one hellva a performance with this story. She gave me hope, she gave me determination, she gave me heart ache, she gave me love. This truly is an amazing story. Ms. Cat put these two characters through the ringer. She pulled all kind of emotions from me but in the end she gave me what I wanted... I can't tell you that, lol. You have to read it to find out what Ms. Cat gave me!!!Link
Ms. Cat, I commend you on a job well done. This is truly an amazing story of two men who are just trying to find their way in the world and find a little love along the way. Thanks for keeping it real!

Review: Being Bound by Cristal Ryder

Being Bound
By: Cristal Ryder

Sometimes reality is so much better than fantasy.

A man used to getting what he wants, Tom Rourke doesn’t take being discarded lightly. Smarting from rejection, Rourke decides the complication of women is distracting him from his goal. He refocuses his energy into ownership of the Black Phantom, where he meets Heather Canyon. Drawn into her erotic web, he can’t get her out of his mind. But can he trust her? The only way to know is to experience her first hand.
Link
Dominatrix Heather Canyon is looking for a new beginning, and a safe place where she can let her talents shine. Rourke’s proposition is the perfect opportunity. She must test him to ensure they are the right fit for and challenges him at every turn. She isn’t looking for a partner, but has she found her match with Rourke?

I obtained the above information from Lyrical Press website.

I am a devoted fan of Ms. Ryder's writing style and this story... Well... it left me Being Bound. I love Ms. Cristal's voice in the story... I love the way she intrigues me with her words... I love the way she captivates me with the characters... I love the way she pulls me in!

Now, you know how I am for short stories... I hate to give things away... So, without saying to much I will try to give you the best review I think I can give....

This is a story of testing the limits... Pushing boundaries.... It takes a strong person to go the extra distance and come back out on top! (Ha) And when two people come together to test each other out... Well... this is the story about it. Two people come head to head to test the limits of each other, to see what each other is made of - so to speak... And the things they do to test each other... Well... let's just say they learn some things about themselves! And realize they kinda like it!

Now, I will warn you... Rourke is a bit of a man whore. I am not trying to give to much away... but you will see what I mean. He is a great guy and damn if he is not hot! But still... he is a man whore. But I believe he is holding out for the woman that makes him hot... It makes me wonder if they will have their HEA.... Hummm... If I have your curious, then you will have to read the first one!!!

So are you reading to see what Being Bound is all about... Let's go see. I promise they won't bite! Well, unless of course you ask!

Ms. Cristal, I cannot wait to see what else you have in store for us. Your writing just keeps surprising me!!! You have taken simple words and crafted them in a way that they get under my skin and make me hot!!! You make the Hussy purr!!! **Roar**

Review: Committed by Lissa Matthews **Happy Valentine's Day**

Free Read for the Perfect Day!!!!
Committed
By Lissa Matthews

Matt and Grace have been in an open, live-in relationship for four years. Both were raised in unconventional homes, Matt's parents having an open marriage, and Grace's parents being swingers. They didn't know they'd want their own relationship to be any different when they began seeing one another. Especially, Matt. However, he's been feeling restless and discontent of late, and what he thought he wanted, was no longer satisfying or bringing him pleasure.

He's realized it's time for a change.

On a whim, he flies Grace out to Denver during his business trip so they could spend Valentine's Day together. He doesn't have a rock solid plan beyond making use of every available surface in his hotel suite, but he does have a proposal for Grace, and it's one he hopes she's willing to consider.

I obtained the above information at ARE website...

This was just that a quick story... So, I will not bore you with any informal information - like how I do love Ms. Matthew's voice... Or how her books have a way of worming their way in my system... Nothing like that! I will just let you know that I loved this book!

This is a straight up, to the point kinda book... This book has a little secret tucked away on the side of the road... A looker... A peeker of sorts... One who likes to watch... But that is not what the main story is about... No, the main story is Grace and Matt!!!!!! Matt is a scared man who is at the end of his rope with the state of his relationship and wants a change... What length is he willing to go to keep what him and Grace have!

This is one hot little Valentine read! The way Matt and Grace show each other how much they love each other is amazingly hot!!! Believe me, this little story will get you in the mood for some Sweet Valentine Loving!!!! I am not a Hussy for nothing!!

Review: Dark Soul Volume 3 by Aleksandr Voinov

Dark Soul
Volume 3

In "Dark Lady I," as Silvio Spadaro plans to take on the Russian hit squad that kidnapped his boss, he decides the best way to deal with four extremely dangerous men is to become an even more dangerous woman.

In “Dark Lady II,” Stefano discovers yet another disturbing—and arousing—truth about Silvio and how easily Silvio can use a man’s weakness to his own ends.

“Dark Brother” brings another player to Stefano Marino’s household. Franco Spadaro has just been released from the French Foreign Legion and is catching up with his little brother. In the middle of a war, a skilled sniper comes in right on time—but two Spadaros might be more than Stefano can handle.

I obtained the above information from... Riptide Publishing

I am just warning you.... This is a review about m/m reading. So, if this is not your cup of tea... just drop a line and say hi!! If this... then keep reading!

I have read Dark Soul Volume 1... And Volume 2! Click the link to check out my review... Then come back! =)

This may be Dark Soul Vol 3 but there are three short stories within in this volumes.... Now let's get started.

Dark Lady I
The cover leads you into the story... Thigh highs, tight skin, rounded flesh...
This story starts in a bar... With five Russian and one hooker. If you are following my review and these stories then you know the importance of finding the Russians in A bar. I can't say that I was surprised how the story started but I was surprised by the ending... Almost a... Well you will see.
Now onto Dark Lady II

Dark Lady II
This one is super short, but leads off where Dark Lady I leaves... Sometimes playing pretend isn't always what it seems to be. But for Stefano, playing pretend might be the safe way to get what he wants... All the while the war is still brewing...

Dark Brother
Well, let's just say that I am anxious to see the war that I know is bound to come to an end.... I'm just not sure what war Stefano will win... Or will he lose everything he holds dear. This story sets up the war to come. Is there more than one war, well... In this one, there are a few internal wars going on.

Now, I do have to say that in the last story, the name does mean something. I know Silvio had a pretty hard childhood.... But I'm not sure that those boundaries had to be pushed in the story to show any relevance to that period in Silvio's life. I actually kinda thought it was going to go in another direction. But hey, that's just me.

This truly is a great storyline and it is very intriguing. The author names knows how to draw the reader into the dark soul of those in this series. And believe me....it is dark! But I challenge you to walk on the dark side with me.... If you dare.

Damnit Aleksandr.... You know I want Volume 4!!!!! Damn you Damn you Damn you!!!!

Review: Hammer Down by Moria Rogers

Hammer Down
Children of the Undying #2

While the tattered remains of humanity huddle underground, hiding in their virtual world, Devi prefers living topside, making dangerous hauls through the demon-infested wasteland earth has become. The wealth that comes from smuggling supplies to those shunned as summoner-born or demon-touched doesn't hurt, either.

The man she meets to arrange one of those under-the-table hauls is complicated...and handsome as hell. Literally. A glimpse of the predator beneath his silver gaze and she's tempted to break her cardinal rule: never mix business with pleasure.

Zel's first look at the wild-haired hauler threatens to distract him from his mission--and reminds him just how long it's been since he got laid. As the leader of an outcast settlement, he can't afford to trust too easily. Devi's got a reputation for running a tight, disciplined crew, but her very willingness to deal with him means she has something to hide.

Not to mention a hot, tempting package like her could be the cleverest trap his enemies have ever set.

Warning: Contains demon bars, virtual (and literal) fights to the death, forbidden love, renegade AIs, a badass truck-driving heroine who will do anything to protect her crew and the half-demon warrior who will move heaven and hell to make her his.

I obtained the above information from Ms. Rogers website.

I should start by saying that I have book one, Demon Bait (here)... And it was awesome.

I am fan of Ms. Rogers writing and her sci-fy series is seriously becoming an addiction of mine. If you come to my blog home you will not see many sci-fy reviews... I'm not sure what it is about the outer world that does not make me run to read them, I haven't figured it out. But I am very picky about the sci-fy world reading material I put on my iPad. And Ms. Rogers series is one you will definitely find on my iPad.

Ms. Rogers has created a world with the right mix of creativity, intrigue, mystery, fascination, and dark secrets to keep me, the reader, satisfied and dying to know more. She also gives me the sexual tension that I crave, the hot - hold no bars - sex that truly is out of this world. But she also give the tender touches, the soft embraces and the sweetest love to come. But love does not come easy....

At least not for Devi and Zel (aka Dominic).... No, love does not come easy for them. Actually to be honest with you, it could cost them both their lives. Is love worth your life? Well, let's see if it would cost them their life....

Devi is a woman that makes me want to genuflect in devotion of what she does. She is a woman that is devoted to her crew. They come first, they are what push her to be the best she can be. Hauling might be her life, but her crew is her family. She is a strong willed woman, but she does have a soft spot. One that not to many people know about, hell... I don't think anyone knows about that spot. Because you see, in the world that Devi lives in... if one knows your weak spot... Well, you are as good as dead. And in Devi's job, dead is no good. She is fierce through and through and would die doing the right thing. But when she meets Zel.... is could be in danger of that soft spot being found and then what.....

Zel, aka Dominic, is a kickass man on a mission. To keep his people safe at all cost. He is the leader of the settlement his step-father left him. Did he want it... Maybe not, but he knew that was the right thing to do. But protecting his people from the outside world might prove the death of him. But he will die protecting them. But who will protect him? He does not allow anyone inside because he is not sure what the beast within would do. He is all alpha and 100% delicious. But just like everyone else... Zel has dark secrets... Would they be the death of him... or the woman that steals his heart and heals the demon within...

Ms. Rogers has a way of making me crave things I had no idea I wanted. Her world of the demons and humans is something that I want more of. Her characters are amazing in their own way. All are built with a tender side, but they all would not hesitate to kick your ass if you tried to do harm to them or their family. She has crafted them with a hint of darkness that makes then the badasses they truly are. Her series just keeps getting better and better.

If you love a good story with strong characters, strong family ties, deep dark secrets, some serious hot men and some hot loving, then Ms. Rogers series is something you need to pick up! I promise you, it is just that good. It is worthy of a hussy reading it and purring!

Review: Dark Soul Vol. 2 Dark Whisper & Dark Night by Aleksandr Voinov

My review for Dark Soul Vol. 1 ~ Dark Soul & Dark Secret, please go here!

The second volume in the Dark Soul series features the stories "Dark Whisper" and "Dark Night."

In "Dark Whisper," Gianbattista may have broken Silvio's heart and sent him off to the States, but he's still just a phone call away. When Silvio returns from a sex shop with a bag full of goodies, Gianbattista can't resist topping his boy one more time, even if they are 4,000 miles apart.

In "Dark Night," the Russian problem comes back to haunt Stefano, and when a dark encounter leaves him bloody and broken, Silvio knows just the right way to ease his pain.

I obtained the above information from Riptide website.

Also, I will leave you with the warning that this is a m/m book/review. If m/m is not your cup of tea... or if you are not sure this fits in your comfort zone, you will not offend me if you if you just stop by to say Hi and maybe say Hi to Aleksandr! Now... let's get started!

This is Volume 2 and Aleksandr has not disappointed me. I quickly became a fan of Alek's writing style. Although one scene sticks out in my mind the most from book one and I get reminded about it in book two, this is a great series. Alek's voice is strong and not to be messed with. There is no mincing at the words that flow on the paper... The characters are strong, the men are even stronger, the action gets more intense, the drama get thicker and the emotions... well... let's just say that things get really hot. Alek is an author that when I read... I devour the story. My only problem.... I can't get enough of this story.

The first part of this story is about Silvio and a lover from the past.... Or one that wants to stay in the past. And I do have to say that phone sex has never sounded hotter.... You will want to get in on that phone conversation! But this story tore at my heart because Silvio is still in love with his old lover... and knows that there a job to do and a man that needs him just a little more. He is good at what he does and has been hired to do what he does....

Then the second part kicked some freaking ass. Well, actually... Stefano got his ass kicked. But I can't tell you to much because I really want you to read this book. But I will say the leading up that moment and the after effects will make you wonder what is to come next! And believe me........... I want to know what happens next! This series just keeps getting better and better... Hotter and hotter.... Dirtier and darker... I WANT MORE!!!!!

Review: The King's Pleasure by Kitty Thomas

The King's Pleasure

In the kingdom of Himeros, Abigail is despised for her gypsy heritage. Pushed to the fringes of society, she’s forced to break the law in order to help feed her family. When a castle guard catches her stealing bread, he intends to cut off her hand for the offense.

Niall has just taken the throne and is determined to prove he isn’t a monster like his father. Awakened by the cries of a gypsy, he spares her from the guard’s blade and takes her as his slave instead. When he learns she doesn’t understand the kingdom’s carnal ways, he becomes determined to strip her of all inhibitions until her every desire is in service to the king’s pleasure.

DISCLAIMER:

This is a work of fiction, and the author does not endorse or condone any behavior done to another human being without their consent.

Warning: This book contains master/slave, group sexual activity, mild sadomasochism, oral and anal play, exhibitionism, and voyeurism.

AUTHOR’S NOTE:

This story exists in an alternate world that is not part of our history. You may notice a blend of some modern technology (electricity and running water), with an old world feel. This is by design.

I obtained the above information from Ms. Kitty's website here.

I was given this book to review and give my honest thoughts, so here goes!

By coming to my place, you know that I am a reader of Ms. Kitty's work. She is a writer on the darker end of the spectrum. She is not your average BDSM writer, she puts her dark spin on things; but you know immediately if it is for you or not. For some people, her writing is not for them. It pushes them out of their comfort zone... It pushes the limit of what they are willing to accept as okay... Her writing pushes the envelope of what is acceptable by your own morals. But her writing is just that... writing. A world of escape, a world of her own creation... A world which, if dark is for you, you could lose yourself in. Now with this said... I will tell you what I thought of The King's Pleasure...

This is short story but it was a good read! I won't give much away... The story line was fresh for me, one I have not read about. It truly was a "fairy tale" of sorts. I enjoyed the twist and turns of what happened. It is not our traditional King saves the girl story... No, but I enjoyed watching the relationship grow between the King and the peasant. It amazed me to watch Abigail be brazen in front of the King... A man she knew could end her life on a whim. She enticed him, she enthralled him... she served him. Naill, the King, took Abigail in and tried to right a wrong of the past. Could he do it...?? Could he make things work that society deemed was an outrage?
Well.... I guess you will just have to find out what truly was The King's Pleasure!

Debate Time... Not a true spoiler but a thought of my own....
***There is one part of the story that people are in debate about. I have read a few things that others have had to say and what Ms. Kitty said before I even read the book. I won't tell you what it is about... but for those that have read the story... I will say that the three sentences in question... or should I say the action in question - IMO - did not even need to be in the story. I painted the picture of what the scene looked like and for that to be there, I didn't need it. Now at what was put in there... I feel there should have been a little disclaimer of some sort for those that are against those kind of actions. But with all of this said, it did not take away from the story that Ms. Kitty put in front of me.***

Review: Supernaturally Kissed by Stacey Kennedy

Frostbit Series... Book 1
Supernaturally Kissed

Ghosts harass and annoy Tess Jennings to save their souls. Sometimes she helps them. Other times she ignores them. But one ghost will give her no choice.

Kipp McGowen, a cop with the Memphis Police Department, will stop at nothing to gain her help, including using his ghostly charms to seduce her.

Tess must help solve the five year old cold case of Hannah Reid, because solving the case will save Kipp. But a bigger problem presents itself. Tess is falling in love with a ghost. Now she must decide. Keep Kipp forever or find the killer…

I obtained the above informaLinktion from Ms. Stacey's website!
**If you do click on the link above... You will be surprised with a little excerpt from the book!!** ~Just saying

I will say that if you come to the Lair, you know that I am not a virgin to Ms. Stacey's work. I have come to really love her writing style. But this story... Well, this story has a twist! And watching Stacey's writing develop this story into the intriguing series I know it will be was a delight. This story captivated me and left me wondering what is to come... because damnit.. I want to know!!! **Pounds fist on the table and pouts**

Tess is a woman unlike any woman that you will ever meet... She has a unique ability, one that sometimes drives her mad... She tries her hardest to keep it a secret because really... Who wants to know that ghost talk to you. Yea... that is her secret and she guards it very carefully. I don't blame her. The "gift" as some would call it, came to her when she was involved in a car accident with her parents. They passed away that day and she came as close as any person could come to death's door. Now think about that... I mean you lose your parents and suddenly find yourself the counselor for ghosts that need to cross over would be a little overwhelming. But you will find yourself giggling along with Tess and also feeling for her lose and love. She is a trip though!

Then there is Kipp... He is a cop... Wait..no, he was a cop. He was shot in the line of duty when he got to close to cold case him and his partner, Zach was working on. Kipp is the ghost that will forever change Tess's life and I do mean forever!!! He is man, damnit.. ghost that makes her hot, makes her mad, but most of all... makes Tess fall in love. He is one hell'va man; ghost. He is not most ghost that Tess has encountered... He remembers his life as it was the day he died and he is not sure why he is in the afterlife... Not sure what he is waiting for or on... Or could he possibly have been waiting for Tess...

This is a great set up to the beginning of a great series. Stacey has given me everything I need to satisfy the hussy within. She gave me the drama of the story, she gave me the suspense of what was to come and the most important part but also the most intriguing part is that she gave me enough heat to make it hot while reading. And now you will find yourself going back to re read that statement and then say... "Cecile, you said the man was a ghost... How in the hell is there heat??" And I would have to say to you... You are just going to have to read to find out how because believe me, I was quite shocked at how Stacey pulled this one off!

To watch these two work together... or I should say these three.... Well, I will just say to watch Tess work with a few fellow officers to work on the case is very entertaining. To watch how the case unfolds all because the ghost of the girl that was murdered helped them solve her case. Tess learns that her "gift," truly could be considered a gift... But is that what she wants to do. Opening herself for ridicule, opening herself to be bombarded by those spirits that cannot find rest... I am not sure that is what Tess wanted to do... But when she meets Kipp, like I said... All that changed.

Then to top it all off, Stacey has left me hanging on by a damn fingernail because I truly have formed my own damn theory as to what has happened and what is to come and now I need her to write more stories so I can see if what I think will truly happen. I truly hope you pick up this story... You will not be disappointed! In fact, you will find yourself looking for the next one to come!! Ms. Stacey, you have done it again... You have intrigued, enticed, teased and simply left me wanting more.

Giveaway, Interview & Review: Andrea Speed Spends the Day @ The Lair

The Lair is very happy to have Andrea Speed over to play with us!! Make sure to stick around at the end for the Giveaway!!!!

Welcome to the Lair Ms. Andrea... Let's get started...
Why don't you tell us a little about yourself.... Something that we cannot Google about you, lol!
Since you are a new to me author, I am hoping to bring you to the light of others! So share away!

When I was a teenager, I had to see a therapist about my depression. According to him, I “broke” his depression scale – I had rated on the highest end of the adult depression scale, bypassing teen entirely. I actually found that funny, and I still do. I broke someone's depression scale! How do you do that? I'm thinking he had weird scales.

Tell us a little about your book?

Peek A Boo is the second in the Josh of the Damned series, which has a convenience store clerk on the night shift dealing with all sorts of monsters, who are generally just there to buy snack items. But they bring along their own set of problems, especially this time, as he is visited by a yeti with whom he has major communication issues. But something happens involving human customers and the yeti that shakes Josh up a bit.

How much emotion does it take from you to write?

It really depends on the story, Most of the Josh stories are just fun.

What is your favorite part of the book (story)?

I loved all the bits between Josh and the yeti. Clearly they're speaking different languages.

What was your favorite scene to write?

Probably the yeti interrupting a bad situation. I love it when all hell breaks loose.

You can only pick 3 words for your main characters..what would they be? *to describe your main characters*

Accepting, strange, funny.

Which was the easiest character to write and the hardest ~ and why??

Josh is always easy. He's just a guy – an accepting guy, fairly easy going, although he only has a slight grasp on what's going on around him. I suppose the yeti was the hardest, because he had to be essentially alien and doesn't talk, but his mood and intent has to be crystal clear.

How many books are you shooting for in this series??

That's a hard question to answer. All I can safely say is there's more in the pipeline, and I'm building to a bigger adventure for Josh.

What are you currently working on?

More in the Josh series, a fantasy novel for Riptide, and a prequel of my Infected series. That's just for starters.

Do you have anything due to release soon?

Besides this? As of press time, no.

What's one thing that you enjoy about writing?

Horror and humor, which is why the Josh series is heaven for me. I can do them both at once.

Since we're cover hussies....what was your first impression of your cover?

I loved it. I love me some monsters.

What do you prefer ebooks or paperbacks?

E-books are fantastic, and I'll never say a word against them … but there is something really nice about holding a paperback in your hand.

Is there a genre you would like to write but are a little apprehensive to try?

Umm … maybe historical? I wouldn't dare, because I'm sure I'd get every single detail wrong, but every now and then I have an idea.

Okay.... personal time!!!! Oh yeah, I go there... Hahah...

If you thought you were safe... Nah... Forgot it... Not a chance! We will start off slow and easy, I promise!

What is on your night stand/dresser?

Clock, flashlight, cat laser toy, coaster shaped like a squashed little man, a smattering of pens and bookmarks.

What are you listening to you right now?

Oh dear. Too, too much to actually cover here. I have soundtracks on 8tracks -http://8tracks.com/notmanos - that should give everyone an idea.

What are you reading right now?

Justin Evans' The White Devil. Great book; really absorbing.
What is your favorite season? Holiday? I don't know that I have a favorite season. Maybe fall, just to be contrary. Holiday? Halloween is the only holiday that exists, as far as I'm concerned.
And what has been your best b-day present ever?? Getting a book published! It was around my birthday and it was really exciting. But if you mean an actual gift from someone else, I'd say this nifty digital camera.

Hard and Quick Time! Don't think... Just answer! Okay, before we go this route, I will get us a refill on our drinks... I will be right back...

You know you do... Quickie time... Think fast....

Are you a quickie kind girl? Not really. Although it depends on what kind of quickie you mean...
Dark or Milk Chocolate? 100% dark.
Whipped or Melted?Again, I need context! Probably melted.
Straight up or with a twist – sex? Twist, I suppose.
What's ur fave drink - in a glass or on him? Ginger beer.
Spank or Flogger? Give me a cat o'nine tails.
Junk or Health Food? I really should be healthy, but junk food is so nice ...
Ties or Chains? Again, context! But let's go with chains.
Leather or Lace? Leather.
Soft or Hard... Bed, where was your mind? Soft.
Control or Be Controlled? I'm the Dictator For Life around here.
Hot Wax or Whip Cream? Let's go whipped this time.
Vampire or Werewolf? Werecat!

Here's the blurb for Pretty Monsters:

Josh knew the night shift at the Quik-Mart would be full of freaks and geeks—and that was before the hell portal opened in the parking lot. Still, he likes to think he can roll with things. Sure, the zombies make a mess sometimes, but at least they never reach for anything more threatening than frozen burritos.
Besides, it’s not all lizard-monsters and the walking dead. There’s also the mysterious hottie with the sly red lips and a taste for sweets.
Josh has had the hots for Hot Guy since the moment he laid eyes on him, and it seems Hot Guy might be sweet on Josh too. Now if only Josh could figure out whether that’s a good thing, a bad thing, or something in between. After all, with a hell vortex just a stone’s throw away, Josh has learned to take nothing at face value—even if it’s a very, very pretty face.

This title is #1 of the Josh of the Damned series.

Here's the blurb from Peek-A-Boo:
As night-shift clerk at the go-to Quik-Mart for monsters with the munchies, Josh Caplan believes he’s seen it all. Battling lizard men, werewolves chasing cars in the parking lot . . . nothing fazes Josh anymore.
Or so he thinks, at least, until a yeti with poor communication skills drops a dead skunk on the checkout counter. Josh can’t figure what a living, breathing shag carpet wants with him, or why it won’t leave him alone no matter how hard he ignores it. But hey, at least it seems harmless . . . if perhaps a little slow on the draw.
But Sasquatch is plenty fast when two of Josh’s human customers try to out-monster the monsters. Times are strange when creatures from the hell portal save the day, but in the protective hands of a lovesick yeti and a sexy vampire boyfriend, Josh realizes that maybe his new normal isn’t so bad after all.

My thoughts on the book!

The story picks up where Josh's first encounter ends...
Except this time... Instead of his hottie vampire boyfriend...
He makes a friend that he is not to sure he wants... a Yeti
I have to say that Ms. Speed kept me chuckling through this one as well.
And I do have to hand it to Andrea for keeping the story interesting and fresh... Well, when you read this story, it is not quite so fresh, hahahaha!
But I was very happy to see Colin return! But with that said, I am kinda wondering if our convenience store clerk will find someone else who will make his nights worth while...
