For those of you that know me... and those that don't this is my little statement about short books.... I do not judge short stories on the rush of their relationships, because they are just that - short stories. So, yes the relationships always could have been drawn out more, yea it seems like they fall in love to fast and of course the story could have been made longer... but it is a short story. So with that said.... here is my review...

Let me start off by saying that Ms Eliza had me burning up the ipad in this hot, sweet, sexy and deliciously wicked story. She takes us on a wicked ride of finding lust in all the right places. She explores our secret desires, fulfilles them and makes us take the hope of a life that we keep on a shelf for later in life because we just never think it is out turn in life - dust it off and make it into a reality.

Harper is a year out of a vanilla divorce and knows where her heart lies. On the wicked side of naughty. But finding that one person to allow domination over her is something she is not quite ready for yet.... That is until she has to serve her treats at a club that specializes in her flavor of naughtiness.

Alex sees what he wants and he knows how to get it. This man had me reaming of finding my own Dom to collar me. He was tender enough to be the lover we all have those dreams about but a Dom enough to make you go weak in the knees by the tone of his voice. His addiction to the sweet Harper might prove to be his undoing....

Now let me warn you that this story is about being dominated. If you know you are uncomfortable with that type of story, this one might not be for you. But it is not on the serious side of BDSM that I think would leave you feeling uncomfortable reading it, actually I think quite the opposite would happen. You might like the taste.... Kinda like a cupcake with sex!!

Ms. Eliza treats us to a short story that for sure will make you want to take a trip to your local bakery and.... Bring your man some dessert back!

If you are looking for a quick, hot read, I encourage you to pick up this one. You won't be disappointed. Especially if you like a little BDSM mixed in with your sweet tooth!! I have to say that Ms Eliza knows how to have dessert first!!! A woman after my own heart!

So with that said.... here is my review...

This is book two of the cougar series. You do not have to read book one, but it would help it flow a little better for you.

We meet Lara, a very upset witch (to say the least). She is set on revenge against the black cougars. She believed they killed someone very close to her for no reason. Her only means of closure is to kill those involved in the case - the black cougar family.

Lara knew that Kane was sent to kill her. Kane being one of the black cougar family members. He was sent on a mission, to kill Lara. Of course, unless she killed him first. Killing is all Lara has been able to think since that moment in time. It has consumed her - heart and soul. Or at least she thought so. Until she stepped into Kane's arms. Confusing thoughts cost her more than just her evil plan....

Kane was sent on a mission to kill Lara. The same woman who had tried to kill members of his family. He was not given the matters of the case, he just knew that this was his orders to fulfill. Kane, being the fair man he is... needed answers as to why. Was it really the answers he was seeking or the woman who ran his blood hot?

This book is a very hot read. The characters and plot are thought out very well. Ms. Gayle has created a world that wants to stay hidden and they will do what they have to - to protect themselves and their world. However, I felt something missing. The missing element is a feeling of true love. Without giving away to much, I know the mating process of shifters and such, but the story just seem to lack a real love. Don't get me wrong, the sex was hot... and the action was there... but it's like the author is holding back on her true writing skills. But all in all, this is a great read and I recommend it to anyone who loves the paranormal world!
