Review: Let The Sunshine In by Jenna Byrnes

Let the Sunshine In by Jenna Byrnes
Spring, 1971.
Hippies, peace and love are all the rage in California. But Terri Walker has suffered a miscarriage from which she hasn’t bounced back. She and her husband move to New Orleans hoping for a fresh start. While Scott renovates the stately old home his father bequeathed to them, Terri snoops and is amazed to discover the house has a secret. Some have called it a blessing, and some a curse.
When handsome, hirsute Rafe McAllister comes into their lives, neither Scott nor Terri has any idea how much their world is about to change. Not precisely what they're looking for, Rafe might be exactly what they need. (paranormal, f/m/m)

I obtained the above information from GLBT Bookstore

*~*I did receive this book from Night Owl Romance for the purpose of my honest review.
So, all thoughts and comments regarding this book are solely mine!*~*

I do not judge short stories on the rush of their relationships, because they are just that - short stories. So, yes the relationships always could have been drawn out more, yea it seems like they fall in love to fast and of course the story could have been made longer... but it is a short story. So with that said....
At close to forty pages, this is one hot book. Ms. Jenna wields the story of three people together so well, that you forget it is a short story. This book has a hint of history, set in the seventies. It has a dash of paranormal that I will not divulge to you. And it has a mixture of menage to make you grin.
We met a couple, a very average couple - Scott and Terri Walker. Surviving the lost of a miscarriage and the death of a parent, they decide to move from California to New Orleans, Louisiana to make a fresh new start. They are a real couple with real issues. They love each other deeply, just not passionately - right now. They have moved into a family home, from Scott's side of the family, that is in need of repair and remodel. Scott is looking for ways to bring back the zest to their marriage.
Meet Rafe McAllister. Dark, mysterious and very intriguing to the Walkers; especially to Scott. The three have a chance meeting a coffee shop one day. Scott is immediately attracted to Rafe, for unknown reasons. Scott has never had a homosexual thought in his life; until that brief encounter with Rafe. Excited at meeting someone new, Rafe has invited himself over for dinner... But Rafe has a mysterious past the Walkers know nothing about. Can his past survive the friendship he hopes to share with the Walkers or will the Walkers run out on him.
This was a wonderful, suspenseful read. We meet a couple, down on their marriage. Holding strong, because that is what you do. But just desiring something, something more, something different. But just how different. I never saw the dash of paranormal Ms. Jenna threw in there. But it lent to the "magical" feel of the book towards the end. And the ending.... aawwww... It was perfect. Another great book by Ms. Jenna.
