Review: Maid for It by Lucy Rodgers

Maid For It
By: Lucy Rodgers

In fear for her life after witnessing a powerful drug lord gun down two rivals, Gabriela Marquez flees Sinaloa for the safety of the United States. No sooner does she arrive, however, than she’s arrested and threatened with immediate deportation unless she agrees to work for Maid for It, a company providing specialty housekeeping services to high-end clients. Gabi soon realizes the “specialty” services she must provide will be of a sexual nature. She should refuse, but she can’t risk deportation. Prostitution is preferable to death.

Her first assignment is in the home of Benjamin Hardcastle, a wealthy and reclusive computer security expert. He’s also Maid for It‘s most exacting client. Determined to please the heretofore unpleasable Mr. Hardcastle, Gabi keeps her past a secret. If he discovers the truth—that she’s been coerced into the role of sexual slave—he’ll send her away.

But what begins as a unwelcome obligation becomes an awakening to the incredible pleasures of domination, bondage, and submission. As Gabi discovers she truly is “made for it,” her secret looms larger, threatening her survival in an entirely unexpected way.

I obtained the above information from Ms. Lucy Rodgers website.

For those of you that know me... and those that don't this is my little statement about short books.... I do not judge short stories on the rush of their relationships, because they are just that - short stories. So, yes the relationships always could have been drawn out more, yea it seems like they fall in love to fast and of course the story could have been made longer... but it is a short story. So with that said.... here is my review...

I was given this book for an honest review and my honest thoughts, so here goes...

Ms. Lucy is a very new to me author... But one I will definitely keep my eye on. Or in this case, I should say that I will keep my Dominant Eye on her, lol! She has allowed me into her world for a brief peek and I have to tell you what I think... This is an interesting story line on an old concept! Dominant and submissive... Do you know where you stand on this issue? Or sit... or lay?

Okay, even if it is a night of play in the bed (or where ever else it might happen) or a lifestyle choice... you are making a decision about the control of your pleasures. But what happens when someone takes that choice away from you and you are left with the only option of submitting. Because bucking the system could cost you your life.

Welcome to Gabi's world. Where having her own free will has been taken from her... Where choices are no longer an option for her. Where fleeing for her life could actually cost her - her life.

This is a short story of less than 70 pages, so I do not want to give to much of the book away... Ms. Lucy did a great job of giving me a great story. From start to finish, it will keep you guessing at the fate of Gabi... And the wall built around Ben's heart... There are rough moments, there are sweet and endearing moments... There are moments that make you go... "You Go Girl," then there are moments that you simply sit back and realize they actually do happen in the real world... and poor Gabi is caught in the middle of it. But it is very endearing to watch her grow and learn about herself and her lifestyle... Ms. Lucy, you did a great job!

And fyi... I would have loved to learn more about what was in Ben's "play room!"

A little about..... Ms. Lucy Rodgers writes dark erotic tales that explore the three C’s: consent, coercion, and captivity. Her stories always include some combination of forced seduction, questionable consent, lack of safe words, indoctrination, and slavery/ownership. Lucy’s books are intended for mature readers who understand the difference between fantasy and reality and who are looking for erotic literature that explores not just the physical but also the psychological and emotional elements of sexual bondage and domination.

And remember... Keep it Dirty, Smutty & Hussy!

  3. Blodeudd~ Hey honey! This was a struggle book, but it reminded me of a Kitty book. I know that is a little out of your comfort zone, but I know one day you will push out that zone and pick something up.
