Melody Mires has
sworn off dating musicians, but when the sexy European conductor Wolf Braun
takes over her struggling symphony, her hesitation almost flies out the window
with the notes of her flute—until he opens his mouth. Wolf is arrogant,
haughty, and seems to have a personal vendetta against Melody. Oh, and he’s her
boss. If she wants to keep her job as principal flutist, she’ll have to impress
Wolf while simultaneously keeping her undeniable attraction to herself.
Wolf came to
America to get as far away from his past as possible, and to recover some of
the swagger he had as one of the world’s best maestros. He never imagined being
forced to reassess the entire orchestra’s talent—and potentially fire anyone
who doesn’t make his cut. Dating the attractive flutist is out of the question,
but as their feelings reach a fever pitch, can they risk both their careers for
a chance at love?

Ladies and Gents of the Lair, please give a warm welcome to Ms. Dionne!!!!!
Let's see what she has to say!
Since you are a new to me author, I am hoping to bring you to the light of
others! So let’s share!
Why don't you tell us a little about yourself.... Something that we cannot Google about you, lol!
Why don't you tell us a little about yourself.... Something that we cannot Google about you, lol!
I was raised as a vegetarian, so I’ve never eaten meat! It
was hard growing up, because the other kids picked on me- but now I’m so glad
my parents gave me a healthy start. I actually LOVE vegetables.
Tell us a little about your book?
Tell us a little about your book?
This is my very first contemporary romance! I’d just
finished a four book space opera series, and Entangled Publishing asked if I’d
be interested in writing for their sweet romance line called Bliss. At first I
didn’t think I could do it- I mean no aliens or fantasy worlds? So, I chose a
topic I knew a lot about- music. I actually had a lot of fun writing it.
How easy is does the story come to you?
This story came very easily because of all the experiences
I’d had with music.
What is your favorite part of the book?
I love the first chapter. Not having your music is the
first rehearsal has always been my greatest fear- so it was fun to confront
that!
You can only pick 3 words for your main characters..what would they be? *to describe your main characters*
Melody- talented, loving, driven
Wolf- strong, kind hearted, guarded
Which was the easiest character to write and the hardest ~ and why??
Melody was the easiest, because she has so much of me in
her. Wolf was the hardest because my male characters always come across as
girly, and he’s the ultimate manly male.
How many books are you shooting for in this series??
Three. The next book features her oboe friend, Carly, and
he last book will feature a diva soprano!
What are you currently working on?
I’m currently working on book 2 of this series, and I just
finished book three of my YA sci fi Paradise Reclaimed series for Inkspell
publishing.
Do you have anything due to release soon?
Yes, May 1st is the release of the second book
in my YA sci fi Paradise Reclaimed series called Reconnaissance. I really went
in a different direction for this story. This is a spooky one!
What's one thing that you enjoy about writing?
I love the creative process- coming up with so much from
absolutely nothing- a blank screen.
What do you prefer ebooks or paperbacks?
Even though this is an ebook, I’d have to say I prefer
paperbacks!
Is there a genre you would like to write but are a little apprehensive to try?
I’d love to try horror sometime because I love scary
movies. Steampunk also seems like a really neat genre.
Okay.... personal time!!!! Oh yeah, I go there... Hahah...
If you thought you were safe... Nah... Forgot it... Not a chance! We will start off slow and easy, I promise!
What is on your night stand/dresser? Clothes, a jewelry box my brother gave me, speakers.

What are you listening to you right now? I love radio gaia- new age internet radio.
What are you reading right now? Renegade
by J A Souders
What is your favorite season? Holiday? I
love summer, but I have to say I love Christmas too!
And what has been your best b-day present ever?? Recently, my brother came to my book signing and spent the whole day
there with me talking up my books and playing cards with me. That was pretty
cool.
Thanks for having me on your blog!
Two Quickie
Teasers:
"Every one
of the musicians she’d dated was the same as her: burned out from practicing to
beat the chair ahead of him, teaching five million lessons a day to make ends
meet, scrambling for gigs two hours away on the weekends, so involved in a
dying art form that he didn’t even know the Bruins were an ice hockey team."
“Why would a flute prodigy from Julliard want this little Civic Symphony seat anyway? Seems to me a girl who played the Mozart G Major concerto in front of the New York Phil at age seven could get a seat in any orchestra. Age seven. When I was seven, the only thing I was playing was pretend flute on my toothbrush.”

Aubrie grew up
watching the original Star Wars movies over and over until she could
recite and reenact every single scene in her backyard. She also loved The
Goonies, Star Trek the Next Generation--favorite character was Data by
far--and Indiana Jones. But, her all time favorite movie was The Last
Unicorn. She still wonders why the unicorn decided to change back to a
unicorn in the end.
Aubrie wrote in her junior high yearbook that she wanted to be "a concert flutist" when she grew up. She majored in flute performance at the University of New Hampshire on a full scholarship, then secured two teaching jobs at a University and a local community music school. While playing in orchestras and teaching, stories popped into her head, and she used them to make the music come alive for her flute students. Her students said they were so good, she had to write them down! Maybe they were right, who knows? Two careers seems to keep her busy. For now.
She is represented by Dawn Dowdle and writes sweet and adventurous fantasy, science fiction, and contemporary romance.
