Vi Martin, a successful multi-millionaire businesswoman, is in for a surprise when the domestic agency sends her a new butler for her swanky Miami retreat. Drop dead gorgeous Clarkson Dale is the consummate professional butler until he meets his new employer. Strictly professional by day but all bets are off at night when they explore their fantasies. The sparks fly and their attraction is undeniable when they break all the rules when Michel, Vi’s gorgeous young French-trained chef joins Clarkson and Vi in exploring her deeper sexual tastes. www.katedeveaux.com (Total E-Bound Publishing, Pre-Order June 2013)
Umm, well let’s see. I’m a Virgo, surprise surprise,
very organized. I once lived in a little village along the Amalfi Coast and I
love Russian history.
Tell
us a little about your book?
“The
Butler Did It’ is a twist on a Downton Abbey/ Upstairs Downstairs with a
contemporary setting and a red hot butler, Clarkson Dale, and his sexy self
assured boss, Vivienne Martin. Vi likes to break the rules and it turns out so
does Clarkson when work turns to play.
How
much emotion does it take from you to write?
An
amazing amount, to be in the mind of the characters is all encompassing. But
it’s fun!
What
is your favorite part of the book?
I
love the scene in the dining room…..and later in the bathtub….
You
can only pick 3 words for your main characters…what would they be? *to describe
your main characters*
Vivienne
Martin sensual, strong willed
and adventuresome
Clarkson
Dale refined,
seductive and self assured
Which
was the easiest character to write and the hardest ~ and why??
Michel
was probably the hardest to write, he’s the Chef. He’s young and more on the
outskirts of the story until he becomes a very important element in fulfilling
Vi’s fantasies. Ménage scenes are always tricky, a lot to keep track of with
three in a sex scene instead of two. Nothing’s worse than a character sitting
there twiddling their thumbs while the other two go at it! Lol
How
many books are you shooting for in this series??
Oh,
I can’t wait to write a few more…definitely three or four, maybe more.
What
are you currently working on?
‘Bimini
Bound,’ an erotic romance. Mistaken identity and voyeurism bring a super sexy
younger man and a curvaceous older woman together on board a luxury yacht in
the Bahamas.
Do
you have anything due to release soon?
After
“Butler Did It,’ I have a sizzling erotic romance coming out August 1st,
Academy of Love. Lovers reunited and all that good stuff, set at a prim and
proper girl’s boarding school.
What's
one thing that you enjoy about writing?
There
are so many things, but I think I love just getting down on paper whatever
story line, characters, etc. pop into my mind.
Since
we're cover hussies....what was your first impression of your cover?
Loved
it. Very sexy.
What
do you prefer ebooks or paperbacks?
I
read both, but confess since I got my Kindle, I do read a lot of ebooks.
Is
there a genre you would like to write but are a little apprehensive to try?
Maybe historical.
Okay....
personal time!!!! Oh yeah, I go there... Hahah...
If
you thought you were safe... Nah... Forgot it... Not a chance! We will start
off slow and easy, I promise!
What
is on your night stand/dresser?
Stack
of paperbacks, photo of hubbie and me, and lip balm.
What
are you listening to you right now?
Il
Divo. Went to the concert, loved it.
What
are you reading right now?
Art
of Pleasure, by Ella Laurence, Whiskey
Beach, Nora Roberts. Just finished Tory Richard’s Instant Attraction. Very
Good!
What
is your favorite season? Holiday?
Fall
used to be my favorite season when I lived further north, but now that I live
in the desert I like summer. I like it hot! It’s so peaceful in the desert in
the summer, it’s something I look forward to all year long.
And
what has been your best b-day present ever??
A
surprise weekend getaway to a Spa with some of my girlfriends about ten years
ago.
Hard
and Quick Time! Don't think... Just answer! Okay, before we go this route, I
will get us a refill on our drinks... I will be right back...
You
know you do... Quickie time... Think fast....
Are
you a quickie kind girl? Sometimes

About Kate Deveaux
Kate Deveaux is a contemporary, erotic
romance writer and die-hard romantic. It was after reading Jane Eyre in high
school that she became hooked on the idea of writing about romance, excitement
and drama. Kate has been penning stories, from the sensual to the sinfully
sexy, ever since!
In addition to red hot romance, Kate’s
fictional stories explore the dynamics of why relationships do or don’t work, the
choices people make, family dramas and the unexpected events that set everyday
life on its head. She is currently busy completing two erotic romance novels
and one contemporary romance novel for release in 2013 — each filled with sexy
romance, heroines who are no shrinking violets and heroes who make your heart
skip a beat.
A former wedding planner, Kate has
always been “in love” with love!
She was inspired to transition from writing
racy short stories to full length manuscripts after meeting other authors in
the romance world at industry workshops, conferences and events. Now a
full-time contemporary romance novelist, Kate is a member of Savvy Author,
Romance Writers of America (RWA) as well as their erotic romance chapter,
Passionate Ink. Born in London, England, Kate has lived in both the U.K. and
the U.S and she is a graduate of the University of Alberta in Canada. She and
her husband currently reside in Arizona. When she’s not writing or reading,
Kate can be found on the tennis court—yes, there’s even “love” in that game
too!
