Since you are a new to me author, I am hoping to bring you to the light of others! So let’s share!Why don't you tell us a little about yourself.... Something that we cannot Google about you, lol!
Oh, there’s LOTS you won’t find out on Google. Here’s a fun fact – it has nothing to do with writing but it just popped into my head. Many years ago I taught firewalking to high ranking fire officials from Moscow. I was the first person to introduce firewalking to Russian in modern times but not the first person to get credit – Tony Robbins got all the credit. I remember standing before a sea of forbidding faces in military uniform, all sitting with arms folded and legs crossed – very closed off. I taught through a translator so I don’t know what they actually heard me say. When we got out to the fire, I thought, “Well, here goes. It’s make or break time.” The dubious men started walking. Then they ran. Then they begged me to make it hotter. They picked me up and whirled me around. They whooped and shouted. I guess they got the point of the firewalk – face their fears and find joy. I’ll bet they never looked at a fire the same way. I think that was the same trip in which I performed hip hop to hundreds people and my pants started to fall off on stage!
Tell us a little about your book?
I’ve got a whole series – the Wicked Series. Healing transformations through erotic exploration have long been a fascination of mine. In the first book, A Wicked Awakening, Chérie Manhattan embarks upon an erotic journey that unlocks the secrets of her past to reveal the sexual elixir trapped within her cells, longing to be set free.
Her enemies—at war with themselves—will stop at nothing to keep her from awakening the ka’kriyayaga, the heartbeat of cosmic surrender. Determined to set these blissful energies free, Chérie becomes a cosmic force to be reckoned with and inspires and awakens all around her. How much emotion does it take from you to write?
Oh, it mostly gives me emotion; it does not take from me! I laugh, cry, get in a twist, get mad at my characters – an editor and writing coach told me that if she’s not (fill in the emotion – mad, sad, etc.) when she’s writing, her scenes are a bust! I feel the same way.
What is your favorite part of the book?
I get excited at the scenes with the villains. How many ways can a character exact revenge? I aim to make my villains incredibly quirky and bizarre. They post challenges for the main characters that scare ME! But then, one of the characters will find the path to their all-consuming passion and find a way to deal with everything. Super-power through sexuality – what a concept! Get turned on and put on your capes, boys and girls!
You can only pick 3 words for your main characters...what would they be? *to describe your main characters*
Chérie – passionate, curious, open. Cam – adventurous, lusty, good-hearted. Kayden – arrogant, cocky, intense.
Which was the easiest character to write and the hardest ~ and why??
Chérie and Cam have been the easiest – I feel like I know them intimately. I’m working on a character –Manoko Wikaira-Williams - in my WIP. He’s huge, covered with Maori tattoos…this big, beefy guy. Now, he’s the guy I would never have approached, never have bothered to get to know. He would have seemed unapproachable. But as I write about him, I like him more and more – we may even become BFFs! LOL.
How many books are you shooting for in this series??
I’m pretty sure this will be a 5 part series. The number 5 has special significance for me.
What are you currently working on?
My WIP is A Wicked Ending: Book IV in the Wicked Series. It revolves around Manoko and Chérie’s best friend Zuri Davidson. There’s loads of mystery and intrigue as the villains double down and become even more wicked in their efforts to exact revenge and keep the main characters from getting their groove on. And, as usual, the heat level is like a roaring furnace.
Do you have anything due to release soon?
The WIP mentioned above will be out in 2013.
What's one thing that you enjoy about writing?
The ONE thing? I have to pare it down to ONE? Hmm. I love the healing transformation that takes place in me as I write. Since I am the mistress of my own universe here, I can make the characters do what I like…solve this situation in a certain way…deal with this issue like so. It’s very cathartic. And, I warn my friends – you don’t want to piss me off because you might end up as a character in my books! I’ll deal with you in print!!
Since we're cover hussies....what was your first impression of your cover?
On A Wicked Awakening, all I want to do is lower the water level a little bit so I can see Kayden’s, er, (ahem)…”lower region” shall we say. The water only needs to go down an inch or two. A Wicked Beginning sizzles. And the woman on Wicked Whispering looks like she’s feeling pretty darn good.
What do you prefer ebooks or paperbacks?
I have a Kindle but I never use it. I prefer to read by flipping actual pages. My favorite, though, is audible reading. I love to be told stories.
Is there a genre you would like to write but are a little apprehensive to try?
Some of my friends suggest I turn down the heat level, so I guess that category would be a vanilla romance. I’m honestly not sure if I can pull that one off.
Okay.... personal time!!!! Oh yeah, I go there... Hahah...

What is your favorite season? Holiday?
Birthdays are my favorite! Mine, yours, everyones. I love a good birthday celebration!
Favorite time of year is the fall – a friend calls it the Heat Season.
And what has been your best b-day present ever??
The first best was when I decided to leave my controlling, asshole husband. The second and truly the best best, was when I started corresponding with the man who turned out to be the love of my life. We’re “annoyingly happy.”
