Beginning the republication of The Courtland Chronicles
A life of wealth and privilege doesn't equal happiness—just ask Eric Courtland. Growing up with a cold, unfeeling father and unstable mother has taught him exactly what he doesn't want out of life or love. The troubled young man prefers a solitary life and is content to keep it that way until a campus emergency saddles him with an unwanted roommate.
Popular, wholesome, straight Nick Thompson is far more temptation than Eric's prepared for, but Nick's warm, easygoing manner gradually cracks through Eric's prickly protective shell.
After Eric suffers a traumatic attack, their friendship gives way to an intense passion. Eric's no stranger to casual sex, but what he feels for Nick is something deeper, and more fragile.
Independent Eric doesn’t know the first thing about being in a relationship, much less with a lover who can’t even admit he’s gay. But conservative Nick can’t seem to find his way out of his own personal closet.
Rock, meet hard place.

Just a little warning, if the cover did not tip you off or the genre listing did not tip you off, this is a m/m book. If this is not your cup of tea, you will not offend me if you just drop by to say hi and move on... Know that one I am hoping to change your mind! :)
For those of you that know me... and those that don't this is my little statement about short books.... I do not judge short stories on the rush of their relationships, because they are just that - short stories. So, yes the relationships always could have been drawn out more, yea it seems like they fall in love to fast and of course the story could have been made longer... but it is a short story. So with that said.... here is my review...
This story is a delicious tale of two guys... One situation that all the money in the world could not fix and a decision that makes you put your big boy panties on and accept things you cannot change.
But what happens when the situation you find yourself in... You don't want out of it...
Nick and Eric find themselves stuck in a tight situation. One room, two beds. Except Eric is one stingy guy and he is not use to sharing. Nope, he is used to getting his way, so having to share his dorm/apartment was not what he was looking forward to doing when he got back from Christmas break and dealing with his family. Eric is not a bag of sunshine and warm snuggle hugs. He is one man who believes in keeping your friends away and your enemies farther away. Okay, so I made that up, but when you meet Eric, you will see what I mean, lol. But the ice around Eric's heart cracks when he accidentally walks into his "intruder" in the shower... But being out and proud is the one thing that Eric is not ashamed of. But what happens when his pride gets in the way of what his heart knows is what he really needs... Nick.
Nick is the quarterback of the football team... Hot, handsome, funny and completely adorable! He is everything a woman... Or man would want, but picking which side he wants to play with seems to be a battle that has weighed Nick down most of his life. But what happens when he meets a guy that makes him fall... And fall hard. Eric...
These two are delicious. This story is great because we get a glimpse inside their family and background of both of these men... Which gives you insight into the men they are today. And then watching them learn about each other is such a great treat but when they break each others heart.... It will break your own... But watching the ending unfold.... Was such a sweet ending! And to know that technically this is not the ending... Well, that means there is more to come...
