Book 2 Facets of Passion
Coming February 25
Althea Grant is doing
fine. Sure, her Charleston gallery is suffering from the bad economy, and her
artistic aspirations have gone nowhere. But she’s happy enough. When rugged
metal sculptor Steel rides up on his motorcycle looking to rent studio space,
his infusion of cash is more than welcome. But his art is raw, visceral,
sexual—and completely inappropriate for her pastel world of watercolor
landscapes.
Steel, fascinated by
Althea’s rare albino coloring, sees in her the key to his next piece: a metal
satyr that can be used for bondage games. Moving into her gallery basement is
the first step; seducing the coolly polite lady into modeling for him is the
second.
As Steel peels away her
careful manners and tasteful outfits, Althea begins to realize her life isn’t
just fine at all—it’s as pale and washed-out as the watercolor paintings she’s
failing to sell. Can she transform her life and accept her most secret desires?

Why don't you tell us
a little about yourself.... Something that we cannot Google about you, lol! Since you are a new to
me author, I am hoping to bring you to the light of others! So share away!
Well, The Google knows
ALL, so I can’t guarantee…
I’m a scientist by
training and I have a science day job as an environmental consultant. But I
write about romance and fantasy and sex. I live in Santa Fe, New Mexico with my
wonderful man of 22 years. I may or may not have two grandkids who are angel on
the outside and devil on the inside. I like sunshine, wine and a good book –
not necessarily in that order.
Tell us a little about
your book?
I think PLATINUM is
such a fun book! My heroine is Althea, a gently bred Charleston, SC girl. She
runs a lovely art gallery and stays out of the sun because she’s an albino.
She’s polite and gracious and does what she’s supposed to. Then she meets bad
boy, motorcycle-riding, brilliant metal sculptor, Steel. SO not the kind of guy
she normally dates. I mean, who doesn’t have a last name? Plus, he talks dirty
and his art is beyond kinky.
I bet you can guess
what happens…
How much emotion does
it take from you to write?
What an interesting
question. It takes a lot. It’s amazing that writing can be as draining as
physical exercise.
What is your favorite
part of the book?
I love the scene where
he first undresses her – and sketches her while he does it.
You can only pick 3
words for your main characters..what would they be? *to describe your main
characters*
Althea – sweet,
passionate, determined
Steel – rough,
artistic, determined
Which was the easiest
character to write and the hardest ~ and why??
Well, the story is all
from Althea’s perspective, but really it’s all about the two of them. They were
both vivid and real to me.
How many books are you
shooting for in this series??
Hmm. RUBY comes out in
May, so that’s three. And I have an idea for number four. Could be I have
glimmers for more after that. :D
What are you currently
working on?
I’m working on a very fun
project – a full length erotic novel that will be told in serial episodes. It’s
a sexy, modern retelling of The Phantom of the Opera.
Do you have anything
due to release soon?
PLATINUM comes out
February 25 and RUBY sometime in mid-May. After that is the Phantom story!
What's one thing that
you enjoy about writing?
Getting wrapped up in
the story – it’s like when you read a book you love, only more and better.
Since we're cover
hussies....what was your first impression of your cover?
Relief and love! I
really hoped they’d capture the “white” aspects – of Althea’s albino hair and
skin. And I hoped it would look right next to the first book in the series,
SAPPHIRE. And it did! There was much happy dancing.
What do you prefer
ebooks or paperbacks?
I moved from a bigger
house to a smaller house – and fully ½ our U-Haul was boxes of books. I’m a
total ebook convert. I don’t have room! Give me electronic books every time!
Is there a genre you
would like to write but are a little apprehensive to try?
Oooh, another
interesting question. I have an idea for a kind of romantic suspense. A woman’s
revenge book. But my publishing peeps reliably tell me I’m already writing in
erotic romance, fantasy romance and fantasy. They get all excitable when I talk
about writing in a fourth genre. I don’t get it…
Okay.... personal
time!!!! Oh yeah, I go there... Hahah...
If you thought you
were safe... Nah... Forgot it... Not a chance! We will start off slow and easy,
I promise!
What is on your night
stand/dresser?
ON is easy. J My lamp, my glasses and a book I’m reading to
judge the RWA RITA awards, which I’m *sworn* not to reveal.
What are you listening
to right now?
At this very moment?
We’re watching episode 7 of House of Cards. Kevin Spacey, Robin Wright Penn, political
intrigue – nom nom nom.
What are you reading
right now?
The unnamed RITA
contestant. Sorry. I’m boring with the secrecy. Once I finish that I’ll be reading the new book by my critique partner, Carolyn Crane, and also Sharp
Objects by Gillian Flynn.
What is your favorite
season? Holiday?
Autumn. Christmas. :D
And what has been your
best b-day present ever??
That’s a hard one! I’m
blessed with people who love me and give me thoughtful, wonderful presents. My
man always gives me jewelry and each one is special. One year, the whole family
chipped in to get me this very pricey telephoto lens for my camera – that was
amazing.
Hard and Quick Time!
Don't think... Just answer! Okay, before we go this route, I will get us a
refill on our drinks... I will be
right back...
~refills wine~
You know you do...
Quickie time... Think fast....
Are you a quickie kind
girl?
Sure! Quickie, longie
– I’m game!
Dark or Milk
Chocolate?
Dark!
Whipped or Melted?
Melted.
Straight up or with a
twist - sex?
Give me a twist every
time.
What's ur fave drink -
in a glass or on him?
Ah – Jameson Irish
Whiskey. I love it both ways.
Spank or Flogger?
Spank.
Junk or Health Food?
Health. I’m a total
health nut.
Ties or Chains?
Ties – chains hurt.
Leather or Lace?
I can’t have both?
Soft or Hard... Bed,
where was your mind?
Hard, baby! Been
sleeping on futons for (eep) nearly 30 years.
Control or Be
Controlled?
Be controlled. (Is it
getting hot in here?)
Hot Wax or Whip Cream?
Hot wax.
Vampire or Werewolf?
Vampire.
Twitter and/or
Facebook?
I do both, but if I
had to choose? Twitter
Pinterest or not?
Not. I don’t need another social media
addiction!

A
successful executive, M. Taylor Hamilton is on track with her ten-year plan.
Too bad her personal life consists of hitting the gym and grocery shopping.
Enter the seductive Adam Kirliss. They may have a working relationship, but
everything changes at an office party when he handcuffs her to the rail of a
yacht. Taylor writes the adventure off as too much champagne, but when Adam
challenges her to a date, she agrees to meet up with him. And follow his rules.
They share a night of exquisite intimacy, brimming with both pain and pleasure.
But afterwards, fearful of losing her heart, Taylor pulls back emotionally.
Adam is determined to prove that she longs for the loss of control he can give
her – and the passionate release it provides. How can he make her see that he
wants her, and not just her body?
Excerpt
Kirliss
captured her other wrist and held them close in front of her, his warm fingers
massaging her skin, while he studied her face. The boat surged over a wave,
disturbing her balance. Kirliss’s unusual eyes caught the light, boring into
her.
“This
is silly,” she tried.
“Do
you want me to make you stay?”
“What?”
Taylor choked. She couldn’t let him treat her this way. “No! You’ll do no
such—”
She
lost her breath entirely when he pressed up against her. Thinking he was trying
to embrace her, she pulled away and found herself backed against the brass
railing.
By
the time she gathered her flustered thoughts, her wrists were handcuffed to the
rail behind her. Mortified, a bit afraid and—worse—suddenly and wildly aroused…

another branch of her path, into erotica and romantic fantasy fiction. Since
then, an erotic short, Feeding the Vampire, and another erotic novella,
Sapphire, have hit the shelves.
