*Giveaway & Author Interview* I Want That One by Paige E. Roberts

Title: I Want That One
Author:  Paige E. Roberts
Publisher: Wild Child Publishing    .
Length:   Novella
Sub-Genres:  BDSM/Erotica

A powerful lady in futuristic New York kidnaps and enslaves the sexy man whose hands have dared to touch her feet.  Watch her tame him in "I Want That One."

Lady Jane wants Will for her slave, and she'll pay a high price to get him.  Will dreams of a life under her spike heels, but in the future city-state of New York, it's illegal to enslave a free man.  Jane, once a notorious hacker, now a network security consultant, isn't used to letting a little thing like the law keep her from getting what she wants.  When a bound and naked Will is delivered to her kitchen door, she takes great pleasure in using leather cat and cuffs and cruel penetrating sex games to tame him.  But Will must prove his loyalty to her before he can take his rightful place forever kneeling at her perfect feet.

Ladies and gents of the Lair, please put together a warm welcome for Ms. Roberts... She stayed long enough to answer alllllllllll the questions... She was brave! :)

Since you are a new to me author, I am hoping to bring you to the light of others! So let’s share!
Why don't you tell us a little about yourself.... Something that we cannot Google about you, lol!

I am a martial arts enthusiast. I’ve studied more than a dozen different arts through the years, and lately have been studying old school boxing. It’s not something people would be likely to look at me and know. I don’t look like a boxer or someone whose proficient in half a dozen martial arts. Watch out Chuck Norris. ;-)
Tell us a little about your book?

My stories always have an element of the supernatural or the future. I’m really a science fiction and fantasy writer who adores sex in many forms, including the wilder side of kink. “I Want That One” is set in a future where New York is a city/state with a new nobility defended by hackers in cyberspace. There are some very intense kinks in the story, BDSM, female dominance, master/slave and such. But the true essence of the story is one woman, used to getting what she wants, who wants a man, not used to being wanted.
How much emotion does it take from you to write?

A lot. If I’m writing a sexy scene, I get turned on. If I’m writing something tragic, I cry. I grin like a maniac when writing funny parts and scowl at the screen when writing arguments and fights.

My husband likes it when I write a lot of erotica. ;-)

What is your favorite part of the book?

My favorite scene is early in the book, when Will is lying naked and scared on the kitchen floor, bound and blindfolded, and Jane puts a high heeled foot on his chest and speaks to him. In that moment, he knows what’s happening, and she feels his reaction through her foot, not anger or more fear, but a moment of relaxing. He knows it’s her, and is no longer afraid.
You can only pick 3 words for your main characters..what would they be? *to describe your main characters*

Brilliant, passionate, fearless

Clever, loyal, shy

Which was the easiest character to write and the hardest ~ and why??

The strong female lead is always the easiest for me to write because it’s the closest to my own personality. Writing from the opposite point of view is an enjoyable challenge, though. A fair amount of my enjoyment in any sex play is getting into the other person’s head and sharing their emotions. Writing the other side of an erotic story is very similar.
How many books are you shooting for in this series??

This one’s a one shot. I currently have no plans for more stories in this world. What are you currently working on?

I’ve got half a dozen irons in the fire. I’m working on my second superhero novel under a different pen name. I’m polishing the first book in a fantasy trilogy. I just completed a science fiction story for a Texas author anthology coming out next year, “Ray Guns Over Texas,” and I’m working on a romance story with a clockwork Aphrodite and her Pygmalion. I haven’t written as much erotica lately as I used to, but I think I’d like to dive in and maybe do another long erotic novel soon.
Do you have anything due to release soon?

Nothing coming out in the next few months, but if you like “I Want That One,” my kinky sci fi story in “The Best Erotic Fantasy and Science Fiction” anthology edited by Cecelia Tan should also appeal. And, you might want to check out my recently re-released book of vampire stories, “Bare Throat, Naked Hunger.” “In Service Immortal” and “Sacrifice” are two of the stories in that book that would appeal to the same taste as “I Want That One.” Lots of female dominant, kinky hot writing in there.
What's one thing that you enjoy about writing?

Writing stories gives detail, depth and definition to the fantasies in my head, then shares them with the world. That’s a little scary and a little awesome.
Since we're cover hussies....what was your first impression of your cover?

I actually got to choose the art for my cover (Thank you, Freya’s Bower!), and I think it looks very sexy, but then I’m biased. What do you think?
Which do you prefer, ebooks or paperbacks?
I’m a sucker for books I can hold in my hand, but I love the convenience of wanting a new story to read, shopping for it, buying it and starting to read it within minutes, without leaving my comfy chair.
Is there a genre you would like to write but are a little apprehensive to try?

I’m pretty fearless when it comes to writing. I write superhero stories, kinky erotica, vampire stories, space opera science fiction, swords and horses fantasy, anything that jumps into my brain and demands that I write it down. Romance, adventure, drama, comedy. I love it all. I tend to write the kinds of stories I like to read.
Okay.... personal time!!!! Oh yeah, I go there... Hahah...
If you thought you were safe... Nah... Forgot it... Not a chance! We will start off slow and easy, I promise!

What is on your night stand/dresser?
Nail polish, jasmine scented lotion, jewelry I took off last night, massage oil, books I’m dying to read but haven’t had time yet, and a stuffed tiger that purrs.
What are you listening to right now?
Love Christian Kane, the man and his music, both hot as asphalt in summer. And Poets of the Fall, the music and the poetry both touch me.
What are you reading right now?
Hexes and Hemlines by Juliet Blackwell. I’m about half way through it. Loving the quirky characters and her version of witchcraft. I missed the first book in the series. I will have to go back and find it.
What is your favorite season? Holiday?
Halloween, without a doubt. I frequently work in a huge interactive haunted house for charity. I’ve gotten to be a 7 foot demon that appears, asks riddles, and vanishes, an evil artificial intelligence bent on taking over the world, a 15 foot spider queen with a venomous bite, and played many other wonderful parts.
I have a great story about the spider queen part.

One year, the chief of police came through the haunted house. I had children in spider costumes who herded the patrons toward me since my giant spider outfit was stationary. The police chief was a bit unnerved by the kids and wouldn’t turn his back on them. He backed right up to me. I think he was under the impression that the giant spider was a set, not a live person. I leaned down, ran my metal claws along the back of his neck, and whispered to him that it was rude to turn his back on a lady. I made the chief of police jump half a foot.

It was glorious. And what has been your best b-day present ever?

On one of my birthdays, a friend gave me a ferret. Loved the goofy little critter, and I thought that was going to be the coolest birthday present ever. But the ferret got topped that same birthday when my boyfriend unexpectedly dragged me off to the courthouse and married me. I don’t have the ferret anymore, but the husband is a keeper.
