Ladies and Gents of the Lair, I am very pleased to introduce a new to me author... She was brave enough to face me with my most wicked questions :) Please welcome....
Lynda Aicher
Since you are a new to me author, I am hoping to bring you to the light of others! So let’s share!
Why don't you tell us a little about yourself.... Something that we cannot Google about you, lol!
Hummm…I’m a jump all in or forget it kind of person. When I decide to do something, I figure it out, learn everything I can, and give it a go. I’d rather take a crash-course weekend lesson on kayaking than spend two months going once a week to learn the same thing. However, I also have no problem tossing something aside if I figure out it’s not something I like or I no longer want to do. That would explain the bin full of scrapbooking supplies that have gone untouched for seven years, the downhill skies and equipment that haven’t been used in twenty years and should be pitched, and the cross-stitch bag that has half-finished projects from college! Guess that also says it’s past time I purge some things, but then you never know when I might need that stuff.
Tell us a little about your book?
Overall, it’s a love story with erotic elements. Cali Reynolds is a woman seeking a connection after years of living in a sexless marriage. She’s recently divorced and finally has the courage to go get the kind of sex she’d been fantasizing about. What she doesn’t expect to find is the connection that grows with club owner, Jake McCallister.
Now Jake is more of your typical alpha male who has hidden behind the Dom persona since he was first introduced to the BDSM scene in his teens. It’s who he is, yet not necessarily who he wants to be. When he agrees to take on Cali as a client, he begins to see a piece of a life that he never thought would be available to him.
As their relationship grows, they must both overcome their pasts in order to have any chance of a future together. It’s really about the emotional journey that both characters go through to come to terms with their feelings and desires.
How much emotion does it take from you to write?
For me, a lot. But I love to dig into the emotions of each character. Some are harder, especially the more I torture them. LOL! But that’s the kind of story I like to read, so that’s what I try to write.
What is your favorite part of the book?
Probably the most controversial part. I don’t want to give away the end so I’ll just say it’s the twist that has some raving and others screaming.
You can only pick 3 words for your main characters..what would they be? *to describe your main characters*
Cali: Conservative, loyal, searching
Jake: Bold, controlled, damaged
Which was the easiest character to write and the hardest ~ and why??
Cali was easier than Jake. Maybe because he’s a man and I’m not. J But seriously, I guess I could relate more to Cali than Jake so I really had to dig further to find his voice.
How many books are you shooting for in this series??
This is a contracted six book series with Carina Press. I’m not sure it there’ll be more after those six or not. We’ll have to see if there are any stories just begging to be told. I already have an offshoot novella story simmering in my head that I can’t seem to quiet…
What are you currently working on?
I just turned in book 3 in the Wicked Play series, Bonds of Desire. This is Seth and Allie’s story that also brings in a new character, Tyler. And I’ve just started on book 4, Bonds of Hope.
Do you have anything due to release soon?
Book 2 in the Wicked Play series, Bonds of Need, will be out in March, 2013. This is Deklan and Kendra’s story.
What's one thing that you enjoy about writing?
To see the finished story after all of the pain and frustration that went into creating it. Even better is to hear someone explain your book back to you and have it be exactly what you wanted them to get.
Since we're cover hussies....what was your first impression of your cover?
Loved it! I actually got the fantastic opportunity to see two covers for this book. Carina Press produced two very different covers and let the audience pick the cover at the RWA National convention this past July. I was okay with both options, but I really loved the one that was chosen.
What do you prefer ebooks or paperbacks?
ebooks all the way. I don’t even buy paper anymore.
Is there a genre you would like to write but are a little apprehensive to try?
Male/Male. But I’m going there soon. Still apprehensive because I’m not male or gay, but I have these stories in my head…
Okay.... personal time!!!! Oh yeah, I go there... Hahah...
If you thought you were safe... Nah... Forgot it... Not a chance! We will start off slow and easy, I promise!
What is on your night stand/dresser?
Oh lordy. I haven’t looked in there in forever. Mostly junk. I’m sure there’s some lube, an old diary that I haven’t written in in years, pens, …dust!
What are you listening to you right now?
Pandora, Munford and Sons radio
What are you reading right now?
I just finished Amy Lane’s Bewitching Bella’s Brother.
What is your favorite season?
Fall.
Holiday?
Christmas for the family not the mad rush of buying.
And what has been your best b-day present ever??
The new laptop the Mr. got me so I could write my books. My old one was on the fritz and the gift was as much about his support of my writing as the physical present.
Hard and Quick Time! Don't think... Just answer! Okay, before we go this route, I will get us a refill on our drinks... I will be right back...
You know you do... Quickie time... Think fast....
Are you a quickie kind girl? Yes
Dark or Milk Chocolate? Milk
Whipped or Melted? Melted
Straight up or with a twist - sex? Life is straight up, Sex with a twist
What's ur fave drink - in a glass or on him? Coke in a glass. (too sticky on him)
Spank or Flogger? Spank
Junk or Health Food? Junk
Ties or Chains? Ties
Leather or Lace? Leather
Soft or Hard... Bed, where was your mind? Hard
Control or Be Controlled? Life = control, Bed = be controlled
Hot Wax or Whip Cream? Whip cream

Pinterest or not? NOT.
Thank you! That was fun! - Lynda
Bonds of Trust

BLURB:
After ending her passionless marriage, Cali Reynolds is eager to live out her forbidden fantasies. Her first step is attending new members' night at The Den, the most exclusive sex club in town. Perhaps here she can find a man who understands her desire to be dominated…
At first, Jake McCallister thinks Cali has come to his club for the wrong reasons. But when he discovers she is seeking fulfillment after years of denial, he's intrigued—and takes it upon himself to initiate her into the pleasures she's been missing.
Her first encounter with Jake is everything Cali has always craved, and more; she's not prepared for the feelings he inspires in her. And Jake is just as surprised by his overwhelming attraction to Cali. As their play intensifies, so does their bond. Now, Jake doesn't want anyone but Cali—but is he ready to officially claim her? And will she submit to being his forever?

Excerpt
Inhale, exhale. Two simple, reflexive actions that seemed almost impossible for Cali to execute. Breathe. She had to forcibly remind herself oxygen was necessary. But then, she could hardly hear her own thoughts over the pounding of her heart.
It’d been four days since her final interview. Four days to digest and stew on the fact that she’d been granted membership to the exclusive sex club. She’d be mortified if anyone ever found out she was here. Just the thought of it had her swallowing back her dinner.
They won’t, she reminded herself. She could fulfill this side of her life without anyone knowing.
She forced herself to look around the small room in an attempt to focus on something besides her increasing anxiety. The space was tastefully decorated in deep burgundies and greens. The black leather love seat where she sat was positioned across from two matching chairs. A waiting room that with its warm tones and expensive furniture was more suited for a corporate office than a sex club.
What was she waiting for?
Had the club decided to revoke her membership before she’d even started? Then why did she spend the last half hour listening to all of the rules being repeated to the small group of new members like herself? It didn’t make sense. No one else had been excluded, pulled aside and singled out.
She’d gone through the interviews, both on paper and in person. Paid the exorbitant membership fee. Completed the new member checklist filled with questions that made her cheeks flame and her heart race at the images they conjured. Submission, spanking, bondage, anal play, voyeurism, exhibitionism—oh God, she had to think of something else.

AUTHOR Bio and Links:
Lynda Aicher has always loved to read. It’s a simple fact that has been true since she discovered the words of Judy Blume at the age of ten. After years of weekly travel as a consultant implementing computer software into global companies, she ended her nomadic lifestyle to raise her two children. Now, her imagination is her only limitation on where she can go and her writing lets her escape from the daily duties of being a mom, wife, chauffer, scheduler, cook, teacher, volunteer, cleaner and mediator. If writing wasn’t a priority, it wouldn’t get done.
