Suffering from heartache over her broken engagement due to disapproval from her ex-fiance’s parents, Nadia has sworn off men. Elisheba, who has been a good friend throughout the break-up has always stood by Nadia—but somehow her friend wants more.
For those of you that know me... and those that don't this is my little statement about short books.... I do not judge short stories on the rush of their relationships, because they are just that - short stories. So, yes the relationships always could have been drawn out more, yea it seems like they fall in love to fast and of course the story could have been made longer... but it is a short story. So with that said.... here is my review...
Nadia was dumped by her finance, Thomas, two months ago. Apparently he was a Mama's boy because his parents did not think Nadia was good enough for him; so, he called off the engagement. What a weak man!! But that's okay.... that is what best friends are for ~ right? Elisheba is Nadia's best friend and she will be there for her!
This is the banter I love between those two:
"No, I ignored it. I'm not ready to deal with a man yet." "Then you should be with a woman." I choked on my tequila shot. My eyes watered as it burned down my throat.
When I stopped coughing, she asked, "What is so funny?" "I'm straight. In other words: I heart cock." It was her turn to choke on her drink. "I'm going to have that put on a T-shirt for you, and I'm going to force you to wear it."
These two are great together. They made me giggle and made me awwwww. But does Elisheba wants to really be there for Nadia... Will Nadia cross that line?
This is a super short read (under 10 pages) - really short. Btu a really hot little story. Ms. Ravena gave me enough in this story to satisfy the hussy in me and to satisfy my need for a HRN (happy right now)!
But this story does make you think.....
We all have girl crushes - whether you want to admit it or not. It is okay if you don't want to, I won't force you too. No one will judge you though. And your crushes do not have to be sexually related. Admiration in a person, loving what they stand for, their honor, their integrity - whatever it is - is a form of a crush..... but........
Now are you ready for this... Have you looked at a woman and noticed her curves, her fingers, her hair... her lips, her eyes, her cheeks blushing... her ass or her breast.... You have noticed... How could not... It is human nature.
But what happens when she stares back at you? You can see the lust in her eyes, her lips part, her eyes grow a little bolder.... while staring at you.
Would you ever cross the line? What about girls nights out... a little liquid courage? Would you do or say something you normally would not do??
I have to admit that though, on my search for f/f books, I have been disappointed with the size of the stories. They are really short. Doesn't f/f loving deserve just to be as long as a regular story... hell even m/m gets more loving than f/f books.... Is that a challenge I hear in there....??
So, give me your.... thoughts... What did you think I was going to ask for... On the world of f/f???

And remember... Keep it Dirty, Smutty & Hussy!
Wow! Sounds like a hot little read!
ReplyDeleteI don't read m/m or f/f. Outside my comfort zone. But, that does not mean they don't equally deserve regular-sized novels. However, the book industry is driven by commerce. Supply and demand. Maybe the demand is not prominent enough to warrant enough profit for publishers to actively publish full length f/f books... That don't mean the demand is not there... perhaps just not loud enough... That means, you have your work cut out for you Miss Smutty Hussy... you need to stump up f/f awareness to pump up the "demand" volume high enough to get noticed by publishers :) Although I'm not an f/f fan, I will support you in that endeavour... Way to go Hussy Smutty!!!!
ReplyDeleteBah. It's Monday.
ReplyDeleteJamie~ Hey hon! How are you? Hope all is well. This was a very hot read. But more than that it raises the questions.. . Thanks for coming over today!
ReplyDeleteCherry~ Hey honey!! Well I understand it being out if your comfort zone. It once was out of mine. You make me giggle. You're right, I do have my work cut out for me. And I plan on trying to do a good promoting this sub genre. Thanks for coming over and supporting me in my endeavor. It means a lot.
Chris~ Yeah, I know what you mean, blah is right. Hugs hon!
Great review Cecile.Sounds like a hot fun read.
ReplyDeleteOf the couple of f/f books I've read, they were no more than 20 pages. The stories were good but I just wished they were longer.M/M is so popular maybe you can help promote F/F books.
'Have you looked at a woman and noticed her curves, her fingers, her hair... her lips, her eyes, her cheeks blushing... her ass or her breast...'
ReplyDeleteGuilty, Your Honor.
That is really short, but perhaps this market will grow too. Still not for me
ReplyDeleteelaing8~ Hey hon! Thank you for coming over! Oh this is a very hot, fun read. These two are a great couple!
ReplyDeleteYeah, they are really short and it bothers me that m/m gets a longer story than f/f. I mean if anything women are more romantic and into the love aspect, so you would think we would have longer books.
Mr. V~ What should I charge you with, lol!
Blodeuedd~ Hey hon! It is okay if it is not for you honey. I am just honored that you are showing support to me as a blogger by coming over!
Hey Honey!
ReplyDeleteOh, this one sounds interesting. Hummmm.
*pssss, I can't say too much or Valance is going to twist it all around on me. The Devil he is!*
Hawk
The short ones that leave you wantng more are torture and this sounds really short. I can't say much as to f/f as I haven't tried any myself but it does seem unfair that m/m gets more love these days.
ReplyDeleteInteresting question? Why are f/f stories so short and not getting as much attention as m/m? Probably because the market is much smaller for f/f. You know I love reading m/m romances myself but I honestly don't feel attracted to f/f books, at all. Don't know why not...
ReplyDeleteBut I think you're fabulous for giving this genre attention, hon!!
Houston A.W. Knight~ Hey sweetie! Oh I did love this one! It was very interesting! I am not sure you have to worry about Mr. V. I think he is still stuck on my Sunday post, lmbo!
ReplyDeleteTricia~ Hey honey! Any short one leaves you wanting more. But that is the point... to go find more, lmbo! It is a little unfair. I mean women need love too!
Thanks for coming over, I truly does mean a lot that you come over to show some love to my blog! (hugs)
Janna (ErotRomReader)~ Hey honey! How are you!? I hope all is well! Aww, thank you honey. You know it is my job to make you think!
Yeah, I know the market is not the best... but still. Well, I thought it was fair that if I was going to branch out... that I branch completely out! Thanks for coming over honey and just being here for me! Have a great day/night honey!
'Mr. V~ What should I charge you with, lol!'
ReplyDeleteAll of them, and I'd like about 30,000 previous offences to be taken into consideration.
Mr V, I might have to take you to the special holding cell if that is your chargers?!?! You wanna see....
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked Strapless! Sorry I'm late to the party! Mondays are hard, and I've got some life drama at the moment.
