What begins as a quest for submission becomes an unrelenting need for love.
May Aiona’s crush on sexy Evan Chambers is a bad habit that should be easy to break. It’s not like he’s ever noticed her. Looking for a safe place to release the reins of control and explore her curiosity about BDSM, May takes a friend up on an invitation to visit an exclusive bondage club—all she has to agree to is a public submission.
Evan can’t help but notice the exotically beautiful May. But despite his success, the dirty secrets of his past whisper that he’ll never be good enough for her. When Evan sees her standing in his club ready to submit to his best friend, he gives in to the thing he wants most—May as his sub. After their session, he knows one night will never be enough. But loving May isn’t easy for a man always ready to take charge. She might like to submit in the bedroom, but she doesn’t like anyone telling her what to do outside of it.
When May insists she’s not in any danger from the person seemingly obsessed with her, she ends up in the sights of a deranged stalker—with Evan possibly too far away to help.
I obtained the above information from Ms. Melissa's website!
I also received this book for review from the author for my honest review!
This book was freaking amazing. Ms. Melissa kept me reading till late at night, till I thought I would have to have toothpicks holding my eyelids open. And thanks to Ms. Melissa, I now want to move to Hawaii!
You will fall in love with May. She is one tough cookie. Her mother was killed by a drunk driver when she was young. So, she did what any other strong woman would have done. She stepped up the plate and took care of her family. Becoming the "woman" of the family, that meant that May controlled everything. The only place she did not want to control was in the bedroom. But the men she met and dated did not fill the job. Some even tried to blame her for the lack in the bedroom. But May's father did not help matters with always trying to set her up on dates. He only wanted the best for her... but the best does not always mean that is what a person needs.
Could the best thing for her and what she needs be found in Evan? Will she ever find out - due to the fact that Evan has kinda treated her like a sister instead of a lover.... Being the controller... Evan never thought of May as a sub; only because she strikes him as a Domme. One woman running her entire family, managing a restaurant and making sure everyone else is okay and taken care... Evan never would have thought until he walked in the club he was a silent partner in and heard that May was there to become a member and what her conditions were...
And to add to the story, as if picturing Evan as a very exquisite Dom and sexy as hell lover was not enough.... Oh by the way, he will knock your socks and maybe your panties off ~ just saying. Okay... as if that was not enough story there... two people trying to go through life not being attracted to each other but really the blood is boiling underneath the surface.... The plot thickens and throws you really for a loop... Someone is stalking May and takes it to the extreme. Of course I can not tell you any more than that because I want you to go read this book but I will tease you with these little things....
Evan... super hot. All alpha and possessive. And not in a bad way. In fact his past makes you want to take him and make him forget. And his passion for the woman he loves will strike a cord with you and make you want him to claim him for yourself.
May... super sassy! A woman full of delicious curves, a wicked mind and passion for her family and friends like no other. Her past will make you take notice of the girl that was and the woman that became. It will so make you want to stand by her side while she overcomes it. She is a strong willed woman. She has a drive you do not find in a lot of woman. And the courage to keep going with her head held high! She is one hell'va woman!
Then Ms. Melissa has the side characters that kinda have their own stories. Which is very nice because they do not take over May and Evan's story... quite the opposite. It added some spice and a bit of flare and some wonderful dynamics to the story.
I missed reading the first two before reading this one... but I will tell you that I was not lost one bit. This story was understandable, there was no part where I felt lost... It was an awesome tale of two people finding the love that runs deeper than the lava of Hawaii.
