Shhhhh... Don't tell Cecile I am here.... Lissa Matthews has snuck in the Lair!

Miss Cecile didn't give me a topic to write on. She didn't really even give me any guidelines to go by. She simply asked if I'd guest blog and well...

A while back, I did a post on Kiss and Tell Girls about Girls. In this post, I revealed that I had kissed girls and I liked it very much. I still do like it very much, though I haven't kissed one in a couple of years.

There is something sweet and soft about a woman. It is tantalizing to touch her, to kiss her, to pet her hair, to hold her hand. It is not a new thing for me, this fascination with women. It started when I in high school and has been a part of me ever since. I am neither ashamed of it nor do I try to hide it. It is not simply a sexual thing either. It is much more complex. I have to actually LIKE the woman as a person, want to spend time with her, get to know her... And just like with men, there has to be something that fascinates me about her.

I don't like the bitch or the brat. I don't like the one with her nose up in the air or swaying her ass. I don't like the one that thinks everyone should be looking at her or that is an attention whore. I don't ever really like or desire the popular one. It's the more subtle woman that draws my attention. She's got a quiet smile, bright eyes. She listens and she's attentive. She's far from perfect and desires nothing more than to be loved and to love. She's not the wallflower either, that's me. She's not shy about interests and she's passionate. She's girl, a woman, feminine with a playful side. She's even a little bit of a tomboy, but loves the frills. She's strong and independent, she knows her own mind and she's captivating.

If things never go anywhere beyond friendship, that's fine with me. Most of the men I look at wouldn't even give me the time of day for even friendship, so, she's got one up on them! Grins...

See, being a girl with an interest in girls is not a status thing for me. It's not about a trend or curiosity. Just like with a man, it's about the connection on a level deeper than sex.

But I know two women together garners attention, whether or not they want it or seek it. It opens them to ridicule or fantasy rather than just mere acceptance. I assume it's the same for gay men. Some women have the fantasy of being with or seeing two men together. Hell, I have that fantasy. And some men have the two women fantasy. Again, me too! I wish the female/female genre in romance was as popular as the male/male genre. There's just as much emotion to be brought out, sex just as hot...why isn't it popular? Why isn't it more widely written and published?

So, tell me, what are you thoughts? I'll ask the question I asked way back when on Kiss and Tell Girls. Have you kissed a girl? And did you like it? Would you do it again? What draws you to women? Or keeps you from them?

Do you read female/female erotica/erotic romance? If not, why? If so, why?

C'mon, let's dish...

  2. sexy. great post.

I woke up Sunday a.m. to find my blog, my 500 plus followers, my 100plus author interviews, and my 200 plus reviews gone. Blogger gave no explanation, but I think the account was hacked. Change your password often!

I have reloaded the interviews and reviews, plus redesigned the blog. But if you could, please hit the "follow" button so I can reclaim the fellow bloggers I miss. I'm still following you, as my account remained--thank goodness!

  4. Yes, and yes. My experience was much similar and a striking comparison to the men I have kissed.

A girl is much more soft and sweet. Very rarely do I get much biting or thrusting. But certainly quite a bit of nibbling, sucking and licking. The softness is to be remarked upon.

When kissing a girl I feel not so much as being dominated or conquered but an exploration... laze, sweet, and soft.

*wink* Here's to your girl power!

  6. No, never kissed a girl. I'm a boy kisser. I do however understand why kissing a girl would be appealling. Although I very much appreciate the male form, I think the female form is much more visually applealling. What with all the smooth lines and curves. I have wondered about the lack of F/F romance stories. I think it is a trend thing and eventually there will be more because publishers will find that they can make money publishing F/F stories. I loved your description of why you are attracted to someone. Great post.

    Great post Lissa.
    Nope never kissed a girl.
But I have read f/f books and I don't understand why they are not as popular or written as much as m/m.Love is love. Some of the books I have read have been really short.like 20ish pages..too short.

    I have read Cristal's book and wowsa..if you haven't yet..go..go now..its that good :)

  9. Oh, I see... When Cecile's away, the girls will play! ;)
O.K, yes I've kissed a girl, she was a very good friend. At the time, I did like it. We were hot,and bothered and there.
There hasn't been anyone since. But, that's just because I haven't acted on it. Like Lissa, I would have to like the person. I haven't read a lot of f/f because there isn't the same demand and I don't hear a lot of reviews. But, mostly I prefere a dominate male. But overall, I think if your open minded, sometimes who you find yourself attracted to the same sex even if that's not your preference. Something about that person speaks to you on a basic fundamental level.

  10. This really is such a fun and interesting topic. It's why I picked it. I think there's a great deal to be explored and discussed.

I do look forward to writing a f/f book...

  11. My take on the girl kiss...

I have kissed women. There is something to be said for the softness and sensuality. Women are just better at that.

Even if I'm a regular everyday man kisser. I like the rough take me thing that you get from men.

Women are sexy and beautiful and I can definitely appreciate it.

  12. Nope . . . haven't kissed a woman except my mom and that isn't quite the same. Have stuck with the man-kissing, but I think the female form is beautiful. I, too, don't at all mind the f/f content in romance and wonder that it is not used more. Loving is loving, no matter the form or expression, and Lissa, I do enjoy your stories. Have read a number of them and have found that you bring lots of variation into your romantic settings. Thanks for visiting while Cecile is away . . .
