Chloe Turner thought she was going to marry the perfect man-until her fiancé's plane crashed. And then she got the really bad news: he'd tried to fake his own death to avoid marrying her. Now America's most famous
bridezilla (a tag she most definitely does not deserve), Chloe escapes to a remote island to avoid the paparazzi. And right next door is a man who just might be the cure for Chloe's heartache....
A magnet for wild, complicated women, Max Sullivan is relieved to have finally found someone "normal." Chloe is his girl-next-door fantasy come to life, and best of all, she gets him. With her, he can be himself, a treasure-hunting millionaire who desperately wants out of his sexy but reckless job. But when Chloe's notoriety catches up with them, will their torrid romance make it to the mainland?
I obtained the above information from Ms. Dahl''s website...
I received this book from Ms. Emma over at Harlequin for review purpose. The thoughts and words are strictly my own.
Chloe is your average, normal, girl-next-door. She is in the time of her life, she is getting married! Or this should have been. Um yeah, before the wedding, her finance went flying ~ no big deal right... Except that his plane crashed. Well, that was not that bad part ~ really it gets a little worst. He umm... uummm.. he faked his own death. Plane crashing, Chloe could deal with. I mean life is cruel like that. It would be hard, but she would be okay. I mean it did rock Chloe's world. But if her world was not rocked enough... The media has dubbed her the Bridezilla ~ a title she does not deserve!
How would that make you feel that the man that was supposed to be madly in love with you faked his own death - not to marry you? Kinda crappy huh. Well, Chloe's best friend, Jenn, jumped in to save the "week." Taking Chloe on a vacation, to ease her mind a bit while things kinda blew over. At least until the trial. What are best friends for, right?
Well, this is one trip that Chloe will never forget. A week of no paparazzi, no phones ringing off the hook by reporters, no nothing... just peace, quiet and the beach! Ohhh and the two hottest neighbors two women could ask for!! Enter Max and Elliot Sullivan ~ brothers at that.
Chloe just wants this all to go away, but the logical side of her knows that it won't go anywhere soon. But a trip she could use. A week away, a week of peace before the storm. A storm that was going to turn her life upside down... instead she walked into a hurricane. Max came into her life and threw everything in chaos.
This is a great book! Ms. Dahl sucked me in the story and did not release me till the last page. I stayed up all night reading just to see what happened. The good, the bad, the ugly ~ the learning, the leaning, the learning to lean and the learning about yourself. This book has it all. The action, the romance, the great comebacks, the friendships and the heartaches. Ms. Dahl pulls at all your heart strings with this novel. This book will definitely make you think you are Crazy For Love!
