Graham Hall is twenty-six and has a dream job as a travel writer. He’s come to Colorado for work and a little personal down time. With his article done and the six-month lease up on the small cabin in the valley, he’s stayed around until his next assignment. In a downtown Denver bar, Graham meets Edward and after a short conversation agrees to a blind date with Edward’s business partner, Jane. After all, what could it hurt?

Jane is completely oblivious to the machinations of Edward and Graham and shows up at Graham’s cabin to deliver a box of handmade chocolate truffles. From the minute Graham opens the door, Jane falls head over heels in lust. A plus size, mid-thirties woman, Jane isn’t sure what Cowboy Surfer, as she’s dubbed him, sees in her or why he’s so tenacious in his pursuit and tries throwing him off at every turn.

The inability to say continue saying ‘No’ leads to hot, scorching sex and a lot of follow-up phone calls opening Jane’s eyes to the realization that maybe life doesn’t have to revolve around chocolate truffles, but rather around a delicious, well traveled younger man.

Publisher’s Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Dubious consent, voyeurism of male/male sexual interaction.

I obtained the above information from Lissa's website (which just had a make over.. so head over ~ after you read the review silly)

*~*I did receive this book from Night Owl Romance for the purpose of my honest review*~*
*~*So, all thoughts and comments regarding this book are solely mine!*~*

I do not judge short stories on the rush of their relationships, because they are just that - short stories. So, yes the relationships always could have been drawn out more, yea it seems like they fall in love to fast and of course the story could have been made longer... but it is a short story. So with that said.... here is my review...

Oh man where do I start with this one. Jane and Graham....

Jane is co-owner of a delicious dessert company. Edward, her best friend, and her run the business from a loft they share. Their business is great! She can work from thier home in her sweats, baggy shirts, no bra and her fluffy slippers anytime she wanted. Not having to go out in public had its perks. Edward is the meeter and greeter for the company. Things are going great for Jane and Edward in the business world. In her personal world... things are not all that great. Being dumped by a guy who just wanted you for the person he thought he could change you into was sinking Jane to an all time low. Allowing on person to have that much control over you is a deadly thing to do. Will that be the death of her... or her chocolate truffles... or the blind date Edward set her up, oh did I mention Jane did not know about it???

I read this book in a matter of hours. I could not put it down (well... turn off my computer). It is an emotional ride of one woman, Jane, her best friend, Edward ~ who I heart! and Graham... a man after my own heart. Put these three together and watch the batter start to rise.
Edward wants his best friend back... Graham did not know what he was looking for... Jane needed to get over "the jerk." Now let's stir in Edwards love for Jane with Graham's passion to see her happy... and watch Jane grow and learn about herself with these two men.

Ms. Lissa penned another very well told story. I can see Jane as one of my friends. Being dumped by a jerk and trying to pull her out of whatever he spell he weaved around her. Edward did what any other best friend would have done... set her up on a blind date. Jane's heart is not sure how much more it can take before it breaks for good. So swearing off men seems like a good idea, until she literally gets put in Graham's hands. This is an awesome story. Jane does not hold her tongue, but she does cling to the insecurities her ex left behind. How does one person overcome those insecurities, how do you know it is time to do so? When it is time to face the music and move on with your life?

Graham is a my kind of man!!! Oh damn this man! He saw what he wanted ~ Jane. Graham let it be known to Jane that he wanted her ~ all of her. Every turn that man was there, letting her know he was not giving up because some jerk decided to hurt her in a way that might have ruined her for another chance at happiness. Just the thought of someone hurting her like that had Graham's blood boiling. He wanted her to see what he saw through his eyes. A gorgeous, incredible sexy, smart, witty and hot loving woman.

Where do the truffles melt - here: one conversation taken out of context leaves flour all over the place.... Jane overheard a conversation between Edward and Graham and only hears a "piece" of it and the crap hits the fan!

Now go out and get this book! Believe me, it will melt your heart and make you want some truffles (and some hot sex ~ maybe with the truffles, who knows!!)

I love Ms. Lissa's writing style in this short book. She made her characters come to life on the pages before me. Their lives unfolding, the explorations of self-worth, the process of letting go, the healing and the loving that goes with it all. From best friends to lovers, this story has it all. The ingredients for an awesome story!!! Ms. Lissa, I commend you on another fine job!

This from Graham to Jane.... "“You're beautiful. All woman. All curves and valleys. I want you.” Graham fisted a hand in her hair, holding her head firmly so she couldn't look away. “Damn, how I want you. And I don't ever want anyone, not like this, not like that either. But you… Fuck. I'll fight every shadow in your eyes..."

Now tell me you how would you feel if your man told you this..... Damn straight! =)
