BAD Boys BAD Boys, we LOVE them! Though maybe we love one more then another? Let’s face it as readers not all heros have equal appeal. Nothing wrong with that. So I was thinking about “Attraction”.
In the real world I like them tall dark and in cowboy boots. Or at least in theory. Boyfriend is blond and blue eyed boy clad in limited edition Nikes. With a book it is the image we create in our minds of what they say, what they do, and the mention of washboard abs does not go amiss. In a book you do not have the physical chemistry of meeting Mr. Studdly Do-Right at the Library or organic produce aisle. So what makes one stand out over another through the pages?
Share your thoughts and enter to win a copy of Whispered Lies by Sherrilyn Kenyon and Diana Love. Oh don’t forget to tell us which BAD hero fits your wish list!
This contest is open to USA residents only. It is open through Monday April 19th. Make sure you include your name and email address when you comment. Thanks so much and thanks to Cecile my favorite book Hussy, for having me on today!

Perhaps I am having a non bad bou day, cos none of those are doing anything for me. I am afraid the leave me cold...but if you want a bad boy I will give you one ;)
ReplyDeleteRichard Armitage as Guy of Gisborne in Robin Hood, is bad to the bone, is is evil...but I lust after him anyway
I don't know who these bad boys are.... but the bad boy of my fantasies is Lestat. He wants to do nothing but kill and drink blood. And he can drink my blood anytime!
ReplyDeleteI love bad boys. In fact, I just generally dislike goody doers. They annoy me. I wonder why this is....

Great, now I have the "Bad Boys, Bad Boys" song running through my head... (So of course I had to share!)
ReplyDeleteI love this series it's so good and I think Joseph Quincy Public is so hot. I can't wait for him to get his own story. He's so mysterious and you know he has to be BAD to keep up with and to stay on top of the other BAD boys.

Humm... the bad boy that really gets my heart racing is Edward from the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series. He is so dangerous! But when he is loyal to you it is awesome.
ReplyDeleteMiranda ~ Sweet Vernal Zephyr

The BAD hero that fits on my list is J. D. Steele. There's something about a man and his sniper that turns a girl blood boiling.
ReplyDeletePlease count me in.

ReplyDeleteBlodeuedd! Oh I knew you would find a way to put Richard in this!!!
Hilda!! I am surprised Eric's name did not make it in your words.. lol!!!! But you did say drink my blood, lol! Humm goody doers annoy you... point taken!
Chris ~ you are evil... Now I have Will Smith in my mind.. with no shirt on... Oh yum!
Sherry! Thanks for coming over! Will have to go look up this person you speak of. I love learning about bad boys!
Sweet! Hey hon! I have not read about Edward, but you put up at your place about him... Is enough to make me want to get my hands on him! Thanks for coming!
Terry Kate! You are welcome hon!
Cindy! Hey!!! Humm what an interesting choice of bad boys! Will have to investigate!
Hmmm...who gets me going...ERIC NORTHMAN from the Sookie Stackhouse series!!! Hes blond, sexy as heck and kinky! YUM! Not to mention he can bite you in ALL the right places ;o) I like my men "pretty" but badarse! lol AND STRONG cant forget that!

I haven't read the BAD series but I'm liking Hunter and Carlos from their descriptions.
ReplyDeleteHmm lets see my favorite bad boys.....V from BDB automatically comes to mind of course as well as Rehv. What a pairing that would be :-) I think I would need a little Butch thrown in the mix so I don't feel completely depraved.

I'm not that mch of a fan of the BAD series by Kenyon/Love but Nathan Drake & Carlos Delgado really sounds like bad-boys I might enjoy :) One of my ultimate bad boys is Daemon from the Black Jewels series, if he gets pissed off ice cold is his only calling card of that mind-set.
ReplyDeleteAnd now that song is running though my head too.
ReplyDeleteAnd I have to agree with the above poster about Eric in the Sookie series. He definitely works for me. Sexy, strong, loyal and bad.
I haven't read this series. Am I missing out on something ?
ReplyDeleteI'm not an US resident :(
ReplyDeleteI do love me some bad boy heroes though :)
Just wanted to come over and wish you a great weekend, hon! I'm so happy for you that tax season has ended and that you don't have to work this Saturday! Yay! Hope you have a good R & R couple of days, sweetie! *hugs*
I don't know why it is But I fell in love with Luc in Decadent and got even more of him in Delicious. He's Hot, great in bed and sweet too and he can cook!

The bad boys I write about are the kind of bad boys I like...(Black Hawk) in "Black Thunder" (a native American Indian that's 6'
ReplyDelete6" tall with all the beauty of an American Indian but with deep blue eyes), (Beowulf) in "A Lover's Paradox" - a sexy tall pirate with long blond hair and a body that doesn't quit! And then there's (Titus) in "Milesian Warriors Woman" - he's the image of his father (Beowulf) and just as handsome if not more...and of course he has to be a very bad boy!
And then there is (Connor), again tall, dark in many ways and lives like a vampire because of his mark...but he's as sexy as all get out...in "Blood Witch".
These are the kind of sexy bad boys I love!
Hawk
I don't know this series either. I do like Hawk's idea/descriptions of some bad boys. I like Eric from the Sookie Stackhouse series and maybe Trent from The Hallows series.

HAHAHA Cecile!!! I did in fact write Eric first - but then I thought, "is he really that bad?"
ReplyDeleteI guess on my standards, he's pretty much average bad. =D
However, if the question were, "who's the boy of your fantasies, period", then I would say Eric!
(((hugs)))
Love Nathan Drake! Bad boys are definitely fun and hot to love!
