Mary Jane Andrews is what Texans call a pistol. She thinks fast, acts faster, and takes the consequences with a laugh. The year is 1950. Young reporter Mary Jane isn’t sure what SM is, but she’s heard that it’s going on outside Austin, and she’s determined to investigate. Once she meets the Master, she’s both enthralled and scared spitless.

Carole Remy All I Want and More Books Interview May 10, 2013

Thanks for inviting me to your blog, Cecile!g i I love it! Um, is that a list of questions you have in your hand?

Questions in one hand, whip in the other! Are you ready? Why don't you tell us a little about yourself.... Something that we cannot Google about you, lol!

I love salsa dancing! With the right partner, it’s perfect. The man takes charge. He figures out how he wants to move you, and signals your body with light touches. You obey, and spin, and get a little dizzy, and... Whew! Getting carried away here. Salsa is all about a man showing his manhood by giving the ultimate dance pleasure to his partner. Like I said, perfect!

Since you are a new to me author, I am hoping to bring you to the light of others! So share away!

Let’s see. I live in Colima, Mexico, which is a medium sized city near the southern west coast. I’m a passionate volunteer in dog rescue, and I love yoga and wood sculpture and of course salsa dancing. My novel Twelve Nights has just been optioned for a feature film. This past month has been amazing.

A feature film? Dish!

The producer is T. N. Mohan. Here are his words on why he selected Twelve Nights.

“I've had my eye on Twelve Nights since it was originally published. When I found it again on Amazon, I was thrilled. Perfect project, perfect timing for me. I see the movie as Shakespeare meets Bollywood meets Valentine's Day.  The novel is mainly in dialogue, which makes it easier to translate to the screen. The story is lively and the characters are well-developed. As Carole Remy says, Twelve Nights is a sexy fun romance. For our film, we're taking out the graphic part, but the movie is going to be a solid hour and a half of sexy fun.”

Wow! Will you invite me to the premiere?

Sure!

Okay, back to the interview. Tell us a little about Beauty of the Beast.

Beauty of the Beast is the first novel I ever wrote. Maybe for that reason (though don’t tell my other novels) it’s the one closest to my heart. The story came to me in a dream, and I woke myself up in the middle of the night and wrote down an outline. I love Mary Jane! She’s what Texans call a pistol. Hot to hand, ready for any challenge, honest and independent, and sweet as clover honey! When she meets her man, the mysterious Master, the sparks light a bonfire!

How much emotion does it take from you to write?

Take from me? None. Give me? Everything! I’m a binge writer, all or nothing. When I’m writing, the energy flows in a hot stream. The most I ever wrote in one day was 40 pages, and then I fell into bed! It’s like the novel builds and builds inside me, and then it pours out.

What is your favorite part of the book?

Wow! Favorite part? Every scene? Okay, Mary Jane pulls a surprise at almost the end of the novel. I don’t want to give it away, but if you’ve read the book, you know exactly what I mean. It’s a memorable moment.

What was your favorite scene to write?

That’s got to be the mechanical horse. Uh huh. Mechanical riding horse, like in front of the supermarket, specially modified. The Master is an ingenious man!

You can only pick 3 words for your main characters..what would they be?

Mary Jane — adventurous, determined, always ready for fun

Master — powerful, surprisingly gentle, totally in charge

Which was the easiest character to write and the hardest ~ and why??

Mary Jane was the easiest. She springs full blown into the novel on the first page. Maybe her personality is my wish-persona? The Master was harder to write, though I love him. I needed to figure out his past, so I would know why he does what he does.

How many books are you shooting for in this series??

The novel isn’t technically part of a series, though the Sexy Fun Erotic Romance novels are a series of books with a similar tone and style. Twelve Nights, Who Is Candid?, and Beauty of the Beast are all dialogue driven, with smart sexy women, masterful men, a lively plot, and a lot of humor.

What are you currently working on?

A couple of projects are swirling around in my head. One is a political erotic romance called The Taming of the Hugh. A smooth-talking, less than sexually responsible Senator gets schooled by his female colleagues.

Do you have anything due to release soon?

Beauty of the Beast was just released on May 7. Next up is Fantasy Impromptu, scheduled for release on June 4. It’s an erotic fantasy, rather than erotic romance. It’s mystical and musical. The hero, Bran, is something more than human, and Chantal? Chantal is in denial of her deepest sexuality, and needs a strong hand to guide her to full acceptance.

What's one thing that you enjoy about writing?

The writer’s high. It’s addictive.

Since we're cover hussies....what was your first impression of your cover?

Love at first sight! The designer had tried a different model and it was a disaster. I wrote about it in a blog post called Epic Fail Frankenstein Book Cover! Then we found this model, and twenty minutes later the designer had created an epic cover success!

What do you prefer ebooks or paperbacks?

Ebooks at the moment. Since I live in Mexico, the only way to supply my novel-a-day habit is electronically.

Is there a genre you would like to write but are a little apprehensive to try?

Not really apprehensive, but I have a dream of writing future-based realistic but not altogether dystopian YA novels. I have one in the beginning editing stage. From teaching high school, I know that teenagers are deeply concerned about the future and often feel helpless. I’d like to model a world that, yes, has all the problems they envision including global warming and overpopulation, but is still livable, and in fact will be ‘saved’ by their generation.

Okay.... personal time!!!! Oh yeah, I go there... Hahah... If you thought you were safe... Nah... Forgot it... Not a chance! *cracks the whip* We will start off slow and easy, I promise!

What is on your night stand/dresser?

Creams, lots of creams. I like to massage my feet before I go to bed.

What are you listening to you right now?

The whirr of the fan and my dog barking at a passerby. I’m a silence junkie.

What are you reading right now?

My Familiar Stranger, by Victoria Danann. I love it!

What is your favorite season?
In Colima? Winter! It’s gorgeous and warm and sunny all winter here. The summer can get pretty hot.

Holiday?

My favorite holiday has to be Christmas, since it’s my birthday too. My parents named me Carole because the nurses were singing Christmas carols in the lobby of the hospital when they arrived.

And what has been your best b-day present ever??

My kids coming to visit me. We try to spend every Christmas/birthday together, no matter how far apart we live.

Hard and Quick Time! Don't think... Just answer! Okay, before we go this route, I will get us a refill on our drinks... I will be right back... You know you do...
Quickie time... Think fast....

Are you a quickie kind of girl? Nope. Multiple O’s, please!
Dark or Milk Chocolate? The darker the better
Whipped or Melted? Whipped for cream, melted for cheese
Straight up or with a twist - sex? A bit of a twist is always fun.
What's ur fave drink - in a glass or on him? Glayva liqueur
Spank or Flogger? Spanking is intimate, flogging is intense. Depends on the moment.
Junk or Health Food? Health food all the way. I’m eating paleo vegetarian these days.
Ties or Chains? Ties
Leather or Lace? Leather
Soft or Hard... Bed, where was your mind? Hard, of course. Where’s yours?
Control or Be Controlled? In the boardroom, in control. In the bedroom, be controlled.
Hot Wax or Whip Cream? Whip cream
Vampire or Werewolf? Vampire
Twitter or facebook? Twitter
Pinterest..do you pin? Yes! I love Pinterest! Each of my novels has its own board with photos of location shots, kind of like a movie promo.

That’s it! We’re done!

Whew! You’re not a quickie girl either, are you? Thank you so much, Cecile! You are one the most unique and best interviewers ever!

Excerpt from Beauty of the Beast

"Are you sure you aren't a pro?"
The question came between pants. What a lovely compliment. I had thought of one more torment before I put the man out of his misery. With a quick kiss on the lips, I left him panting and went to get the jug of water. He looked wary as I approached, so I reassured him.
"I'm not going to pour it on you, Mr. X. That would be mean." I fished out a couple of ice cubes and rolled them around in my mouth. George groaned. I guess he'd read the same book of erotica that I had.
"Mary Jane, don't. I know what you're thinking, but you don't want to do this."
I enjoyed listening to his begging as I sucked the ice cubes and smiled. My mouth was starting to hurt, it was so cold. I figured I was about ready. I knelt down in front of George's penis, and took his balls firmly in one hand. He was still trying to talk me out of what I was about to do, but I wasn't listening. I took the base of his penis in my other hand in a tight grip. He had stopped arguing. I spat out the last of the ice cubes and plunged his penis as far as I could into my mouth.
Now I can't tell you exactly what it felt like, since I've never experienced it, but George went nuts. I sucked as hard as I could, and massaged his balls, and stroked the bottom of his penis, keeping my grip tight. He yelled for a while, then went quiet. And all the while his penis grew and grew, stretching my lips and massaging the roof of my mouth. Soon he was yelling again. And then he exploded in my mouth, the hot nutritious fluid jetting down my throat.
George started a different litany, how wonderful I was, how amazing I was, how he loved me more than the moon and the stars. I drank it all in as I'd swallowed his life fluids a moment before. He stood bound in the stocks, and I sat with my arms wrapped around his legs. Eventually we both calmed down, and I got up to release him from the restraints. I got the bar off his wrists easily enough, and he pulled me into his arms and held me and rocked me while he whispered beautiful promises in my ear.
Eventually I remembered that his ankles were still bound. He told me which drawer the key was in, and I brought it back to him. He unlocked the cuffs and shook his legs to get the circulation going. Then he pulled me back into his arms and we stood, rocking back and forth and holding on for dear life.
