Description:
Japheth the
Tainted is on the hunt for a mysterious demon vampire. But meeting her
face-to-face might disarm his warrior spirit—and spark an unquenchable passion
with apocalyptic consequences.
As a fallen angel, Japheth is determined to make his way back to heaven by staying pure and slaying hellspawn. With a new scourge of vampires unleashed by a blood-drinking demon, the Prince of Thirst, there’s plenty to be done. But Japheth is after one vampire in particular—the one they call the Angel Slayer.
Rose Harley never wanted to be a vampire, but the Prince of Thirst can turn even the kindest soul into a soldier of hell. Feeling abandoned by God, she stalks the West Village taking revenge on his angels—until she meets her match.
When Japheth and Rose encounter each other, the battle is fierce and charged with desire. But when they discover a common enemy—the Prince of Thirst himself—they form a dangerous alliance that could either cost them their eternal lives, or spark a love more powerful than heaven or hell.

Interview
Why don't you tell us a
little about yourself.... Something that we cannot Google about you, lol!
Since you are a new to me
author, I am hoping to bring you to the light of others! So share away!
Tell us a little about
your book?
Don't mind if I do :)
REDEMPTION is book #2 in my Seven Signs series. It's a dark apocalyptic
paranormal romance, about a gang of fallen angels trying to stop the Demon King
from hijacking the seven signs of the apocalypse and bringing on the end of the
world.
In this book, the hero,
Japheth, is a tough fallen angel warrior sent to kill a bloodsucking demon
prince. The heroine, Rose, is the demon prince's assassin, called the Angel
Slayer. They try to kill each other. Sparks fly. Supernatural combat and hot
angsty romance ensues.
It's dark, edgy, violent
and desperately romantic. I hope you love it!
How much emotion does it
take from you to write?
It can be exhausting. But
you have to pour yourself in to the emotional parts of the book, or they'll
fall flat. If I'm not crying at the finale, I'm doing it wrong. At the end of
REDEMPTION? Sobbing like a baby. I only hope I've translated that emotion onto
the page!
What is your favorite
part of the book?
The kissing parts, of
course! And I love the fight scenes. And the scenes with evil demons, and crazy
archangels, and mad vampire coven masters. Which kind of covers the lot, I
guess...
What was your favorite
scene to write?
There's a part where
Japheth and Rose chase their demon quarry to Bethesda Fountain in Central Park,
trying to stop him spreading a horrible vampire curse. Let's just say they
don't get what they expect.
Oh, and there's a part
near the end where the sky rains fire. What's not to love?
You can only pick 3 words
for your main characters..what would they be? *to describe your main
characters*
Ha! I probably say
something different every time I answer this... For Rose, I'd say determined,
guilty, protective. For Japheth: courageous, self-doubting, lost.
Which was the easiest
character to write and the hardest ~ and why??
Dashiel - one of my
Tainted angels - is always easy to write, because he says what he's thinking
and doesn't take crap from anyone. There's no subterfuge with Dash. It's all
just hanging out there :)
The hardest one to write
in this book was probably Rose, the heroine. She's very angry and in-your-face,
but she's also sympathetic, kind and crippled with guilt. It's an emotional
minefield every time she opens her mouth.
How many books are you
shooting for in this series??
As many as they'll let me
have! It'll take me four to get to the ending I have in mind, so you never
know...
What are you currently
working on?
Something new and sekrit,
bwahaha...
Do you have anything due
to release soon?
I have a short vampire
romance called HUNTER'S HEART due to come out sometime soon, a sequel to my
story HUNTER'S BLOOD. It's about a vampire demon-hunter who falls for her
quarry, a powerful shadow demon - but he has dastardly ulterior motives.
Slaying and hot sex ensues. And it has very cool villains.
What's one thing that you
enjoy about writing?
Everything. But I
particularly like reaching the end of a draft. There's nothing like having a
completed novel manuscript to play with.
Since we're cover
hussies....what was your first impression of your cover?
'Damn, that dude looks
crazy!' And then I remembered that, well, this is Japheth, he of the ice-prince
facade and the wildfire heart. He is a little crazy...
After that, it was all
about the wings. Hot golden wings. Phwoar...
What do you prefer ebooks
or paperbacks?
I do like my paperbacks,
but I like ebooks too!
Is there a genre you
would like to write but are a little apprehensive to try?
I'd love to write a big
fat historical epic, but I'm not sure I've got the expertise. Historical
readers are too knowledgeable. I'll stick to fantasy, where I'm allowed to make
stuff up.
Okay.... personal
time!!!! Oh yeah, I go there... Hahah...
If you thought you were
safe... Nah... Forgot it... Not a chance! We will start off slow and easy, I
promise!
What is on your night
stand/dresser?
Books, mostly.
What are you listening to
you right now?
Nothing. I'm stuck on a
delayed train... You did ask :)
What are you reading
right now?
A non-fiction called THE
SUSPICIONS OF MR WHICHER, about a locked-room murder case in Victorian England.
What is your favorite
season? Holiday?
Summer. Where I come
from, that means Christmas! Though I'm currently living in the UK, so summer
means cold and rainy...
And what has been your
best b-day present ever??
I like any birthday
presents! Chocolates, books, flowers...
Hard and Quick Time!
Don't think... Just answer! Okay, before we go this route, I will get us a
refill on our drinks... I will be right back...
You know you do...
Quickie time... Think fast....
Are you a quickie kind
girl?
Whatever's going at the
time suits me.
Dark or Milk Chocolate?
Milk.
Whipped or Melted?
Melted. With cherries.
Straight up or with a
twist - sex?
Is that like Olympic
diving, or something? The pike somersault with two and a half twists? Sounds
painful... But hell, I'll take it! Twist, thanks :)
What's ur fave drink - in
a glass or on him?
Glass, thanks. Too much
work to lick it off when you're thirsty.
Spank or Flogger?
Now you're thinking too
much. Let's just get on with it :)
Junk or Health Food?
Health.
Ties or Chains?
Ties. None of that rusty
metal, thanks. Let's have some sexy silken scarves, or something...
Leather or Lace?
Leather.
Soft or Hard... Bed,
where was your mind?
Hard. It's no use if it's
all floppy.
Control or Be Controlled?
Can't we all just get
along?
Hot Wax or Whip Cream?
Cream... Mmm...
Vampire or Werewolf?
Vampire. I just don't get
the whole sexy werewolf thing :(
Twitter or facebook?
Twitter.
Pinterest..do you pin?
No. I have an account but
I've never gotten around to it...

ReplyDeleteExcellent interview... Was the delayed train in question the one to Manchester recently, by any chance? :)
ReplyDeleteI leave a response each time I like a article on a website or
ReplyDeleteif I have something to add to the discussion.
It's caused by the fire displayed in the article I looked at. And on this post "*Tour Wide Giveaway & Interview* Redemption by Erica Hayes *Bewitching Tours*". I was moved enough to leave a thought ;) I actually do have a couple of questions for you if you do not mind. Could it be simply me or do some of these remarks come across as if they are coming from brain dead individuals? :-P And, if you are writing at additional sites, I would like to keep up with anything fresh you have to post. Would you list the complete urls of all your shared sites like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed?
