Reveiw: A Wild Night's Bride by Victoria Vane

A WILD NIGHT'S BRIDE - 4/27/12

WITH THE DEVIL IN CHARGE...THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY.

What happens when a struggling actress and a grieving widower come together in a night of unbridled debauchery orchestrated by a bored and machinating rake?  She’s a lonely lady down on her luck...  Phoebe Scott, alias Kitty Willis, is a struggling Covent Garden actress with a bruised heart and a closely guarded secret. He’s steadfast and eminently respectable...Sir Edward Chambers, Ned to his intimates, is guilt-ridden over his beloved wife’s death and avowed to live out a rustic and mundane life … of celibacy. With the devil in charge — there will surely be hell to pay. Devil in disguise, Viscount Ludovic DeVere, is determined to return his best friend, Ned, to the land of the living. His meddling machinations result in a night of mind blowing passion after which “dull dog Ned” awakes to find himself in the King of England’s bed! A WILD NIGHT’S BRIDE, a sexy, rollicking Georgian romp!

I obtained the above information from Ms. Victoria's website!

I was given this book for my honest thoughts.... So here we go!
For those of you that know me... and those that don't this is my little statement about short books.... I do not judge short stories on the rush of their relationships, because they are just that - short stories. So, yes the relationships always could have been drawn out more, yea it seems like they fall in love to fast and of course the story could have been made longer... but it is a short story. So with that said.... here is my review..

OMG.... Okay, first let me say that I am a new reader to Ms. Victoria... Then let me end this sentence with... I am hooked. Victoria's writing is erotically alluring. The tale she has created devoured me from the first page till the last page.... I am not a huge historical reading buff, but after reading this story.... Ms. Victoria has reminded me what I am truly missing.... After reading Victoria's story... I believe she is the devil herself... Evil woman you are!!

Phoebe & Ned's story will lure you... Phoebe had me at the beginning of the story. She is a woman that, just like today's woman, is faced with her career ending, jobless, and possibly homeless if she cannot find a way to secure her future... And after losing her heart to a man who did not care, Phoebe is very harden to let her heart go again... Until she meets a man that not only intrigues her, but ignites something deep down inside of her that she can not deny... Passion... But what if it means losing her heart in the process... Is he worth it... Well, I hope you read the story to find out because it is worth it!

Ned is an amazing man... He lost the love of his life three year previous and is trying to give his daughter a coming out party that she deserves - due to her 18th birthday -, he is a man bent on providing for family no matter the cost to him. But lonely will only last so long.... Ned prided himself on his celibacy... Until he meets up with his dearest best friend, Viscount Ludovic DeVere....the devil himself as some would say... Well, let's just say that in one night spent in the company of DeVere will change Ned's life forever... Because he unleashes the beast that has been hiding in his soul because he meets one woman who challenges him in ways he never thought possible...

This story is just unbelievably great! The tale Victoria has created enticed me, tempted me, teased me... She brought lust to the paper like the scarlet fever. She brought fun back to reading historical stories... She made me giggle, she me wonder, she made me fall in love and she also lured me on the dark side with the devil himself... The characters are awesomely developed, each bringing a rich contrast to each other but each flavoring the story with such a richness it will pull you into their story and whisper their stories in your ear while they delight your senses with the things they desire!

Victoria, you have tempted, teased, lured, enticed me with your words, your characters and your story... You, I believe dear woman.... are an evil woman! Awesome story, now I can't wait to see the next tale to be told because believe me... You have given me A Wild Night.... but I want more!

Please see below as the rest of the series is created....
