Review: Kisri by Moira Rogers

Kisri
And the Beast #2
By: Moira Rogers

After three years at war, Ennon bears the burden of seeing the High Lord's vast armies home. Keeping thousands of fiercely independent lions in line isn't easy. When his soldiers discover a beautiful, royal female hidden beneath an illusion spell, the lure of her inheritance threatens the order of his camp.

The men of her family protected Kisri, until the war stole them away. Tired of defending herself from greedy suitors, she's in search of her only remaining male relative. Instead she finds Ennon, her cousin's most dangerous warrior. Perhaps the only man in the kingdom who has no interest in claiming her birthright. Which makes him unique...and tempting.

Delivering Kisri to his High Lord's side--while keeping his distance--is Ennon's one and only duty. Yet Kisri's untutored advances crack his formidable resistance. And she proves to be a dangerously adept student. Especially when their passion wakes a magic beyond their control...

Warning: This story contains a dangerous shapeshifter warlord, a lioness with a sword, innocent passion, sexual awakenings and a happily-ever-after worthy of any fairy tale.

I obtained the above information Ms. Rogers website...

For those of you that know me... and those that don't this is my little statement about short books.... I do not judge short stories on the rush of their relationships, because they are just that - short stories. So, yes the relationships always could have been drawn out more, yea it seems like they fall in love to fast and of course the story could have been made longer... but it is a short story. So with that said.... here is my review...

Ms. Rogers is not a new to me author. In fact, quite the opposite... She is one of my favorite go to authors. She does a wonderful job at creating the worlds in which we dream of being in. She wraps you around and within her stories that you are afraid to put the book down - for fear of missing something. She is just that damn good.

I do have to get out the way the book starts off is a little bit confusing... But that could be a good thing because it made me go back and re read a few passages. Then once I got it.... It was smooth running after that.

This is the story of Kisri and Ennon. These two have watched each other over the years... War might have separated them but finding Kisri within his camp just brought all the reasons why he needs to, has to... bring her back to her cousin, the King. For the protection she needs... Not just from other men... But from himself.

Desire is thick, lust is stung tight and need is shared by two instead of just one. Kisri is looking for a little education and someone who is worthy of taming her... Ennon is looking for the right one to tame his heart and simmer his blood. Can the lion tame the lioness...? Can the lion teach the lioness a few things??

I hate to give to much away because this really is a short story, but Ms. Rogers just keeps us intrigued with the world of the lions. This is a great addition to Sabine... and I can't wait for the next one! That is a big hint there... Lol...

And remember... Keep it Dirty, Smutty & Hussy!
