Review: The Best Roommate by Samantah Whitney

A short story about two roommates and a first time.

Language: English

Word count: 13,077 words (≈ about 1 hour)

I obtained the above information at Feedbooks website.

For those of you that know me... and those that don't this is my little statement about short books.... I do not judge short stories on the rush of their relationships, because they are just that - short stories. So, yes the relationships always could have been drawn out more, yea it seems like they fall in love to fast and of course the story could have been made longer... but it is a short story. So with that said.... here is my review...

I am warning you now... If f/f is not your thing, as if you cannot tell by the cover... Please just stop by to say Hi and know I love ya... If you are intrigued by the f/f... then keep reading. Keeping in mind that this is an f/f book....

Ms. Whitney is new to me, thanks to the program on my iPad - Bluefire Reader, I found Ms. Whitney. Then I followed the breadcrumbs she left for me to follow... and I will be digging a little deeper after this review. Okay... Now on to my review. Please keep in mind
that this is a very quick (quick quick) read... So my review will be very short.

Before I say anything about this book, let me remind you that I have read quite a few of f/f books that left me very..... uninterested and left feeling ugh... Well, I have to say that even though Ms. Whitney's book was short, she gave me a whole hell'va lot more than uninterested and ugh feeling. It was hot. Quick, but hot! The situation... was a very believable. The women... very hot. And the ending... very satisfying. Great job Ms. Whitney at putting the "hot damn" back in my f/f reading!

On to more stories....

If you are intrigued and want to find out a little more on Ms. Samantha, please visit her website!

Review: Grace in Moonlight by Stephanie Julian

Grace in Moonlight

Fifth in the
Lucani Lovers series

Kaisie Giliati is the lucani king’s best tracker. He’s used to hunting and capturing his prey with little resistance. He’s also old enough to know exactly what he wants, and the feisty redhead who stirs him like no other is at the top of his list. Too bad she’s the enemy and seemingly impervious to his charms.

Grace Bellasario has a target on her back, two children to protect from their evil father and she’s in love for the first time in her life. With a man who should hate her—a man she has no business craving. But does she ever. Grace doesn’t have a chance in hell of shaking Kaisie off her tail. Now he just needs to keep her alive to live happily ever after…

I obtained the above information from Ms. Julia's website.

I was given this book for an honest review and my honest thoughts, so here goes...

Ms. Stephanie is not a new to me author and neither is this series. I have to be bluntly honest with you though ~ this series freaking rocks apples! Ms. Stephanie did it again with yet another freaking fantastic story. She dragged me in and did not let go of me till the last page. And really, even then she made me drool with anticipation for the next story. I promise you, she will make you hunger for this Lucani family.

What I enjoy most about this series is that Ms. Stephanie brings everyone back together. She makes sure the whole family is included in everyone's story.; but doesn't overwolf (ha ha ~ instead of overbear) you with them either. But I love how she devotes enough attention to her main characters as possible. After all, family is everything... Just as Grace.

Grace is a dedicated mother and a fighter till the end. She has done all she could possibly think to do to save her son Alex from an illness no one can diagnose. She even kidnapped a Lucani and her mate for their blood. Then to know that her daughter has been kept from her from birth by her evil and twisted ex... She did try to right her wrongs but no one faulted her for trying to save her son or saving her daughter...

Not even Kaisie, who lives and breaths to protect his family. So much so, he had his pack raise his daughter while he tracked those that wanted to harm his pack. Just call it a days worth of work for him. He is the best tracker his pack has and he works hand in hand with the King. Kaisie is not a man to mess with... Until Grace lights a fire under his ass and really gets him going.

The chemistry between these two is just amazing. Grace is a woman to admire for her backbone and determination. Also, not to mention her attitude when it comes to protecting her family. But put these two together and watch the fireworks explode.

But chemistry alone did not carry this story... Nope. The struggle Grace had to endure to get her children back will really pull at your heart strings. Just think of an evil ex having your children... Knowing that he is putting evil thoughts in their mind... What would you do to get your children back? Well, read Grace's story to find out what happens. Because believe me, you will be cheering her along her fight to get them back.

My Julian did an awesome job at telling Grace's story with style because when you read about Grace's story - you will not believe the things she has done but what you won't forget is the way she was forgiven for. Ms. Stephanie has taken us away on yet another journey that is truly remarkable... Maybe one of the most memorable yet.

This series totally rocks. You do not haveeeee to pick up the first book to "get" this series (but for those OCD people like me ~ you will want too). That is what is great about this series, you can pick up any book. I promise you won't regret it. Allow yourself to be taken away into the world of the hottest pack you will want to know. Can't wait for the next one Ms. Stephanie!! Hint hint.....

If you want to find out more information on Ms. Stephanie's Lucani Series, I implore you to go to her website and found out more!!! They are some freaking hot men in there!!

Review: Maid for It by Lucy Rodgers

Maid For It
By: Lucy Rodgers

In fear for her life after witnessing a powerful drug lord gun down two rivals, Gabriela Marquez flees Sinaloa for the safety of the United States. No sooner does she arrive, however, than she’s arrested and threatened with immediate deportation unless she agrees to work for Maid for It, a company providing specialty housekeeping services to high-end clients. Gabi soon realizes the “specialty” services she must provide will be of a sexual nature. She should refuse, but she can’t risk deportation. Prostitution is preferable to death.

Her first assignment is in the home of Benjamin Hardcastle, a wealthy and reclusive computer security expert. He’s also Maid for It‘s most exacting client. Determined to please the heretofore unpleasable Mr. Hardcastle, Gabi keeps her past a secret. If he discovers the truth—that she’s been coerced into the role of sexual slave—he’ll send her away.

But what begins as a unwelcome obligation becomes an awakening to the incredible pleasures of domination, bondage, and submission. As Gabi discovers she truly is “made for it,” her secret looms larger, threatening her survival in an entirely unexpected way.

I obtained the above information from Ms. Lucy Rodgers website.

I was given this book for an honest review and my honest thoughts, so here goes...

Ms. Lucy is a very new to me author... But one I will definitely keep my eye on. Or in this case, I should say that I will keep my Dominant Eye on her, lol! She has allowed me into her world for a brief peek and I have to tell you what I think... This is an interesting story line on an old concept! Dominant and submissive... Do you know where you stand on this issue? Or sit... or lay?

Okay, even if it is a night of play in the bed (or where ever else it might happen) or a lifestyle choice... you are making a decision about the control of your pleasures. But what happens when someone takes that choice away from you and you are left with the only option of submitting. Because bucking the system could cost you your life.

Welcome to Gabi's world. Where having her own free will has been taken from her... Where choices are no longer an option for her. Where fleeing for her life could actually cost her - her life.

This is a short story of less than 70 pages, so I do not want to give to much of the book away... Ms. Lucy did a great job of giving me a great story. From start to finish, it will keep you guessing at the fate of Gabi... And the wall built around Ben's heart... There are rough moments, there are sweet and endearing moments... There are moments that make you go... "You Go Girl," then there are moments that you simply sit back and realize they actually do happen in the real world... and poor Gabi is caught in the middle of it. But it is very endearing to watch her grow and learn about herself and her lifestyle... Ms. Lucy, you did a great job!

And fyi... I would have loved to learn more about what was in Ben's "play room!"

A little about..... Ms. Lucy Rodgers writes dark erotic tales that explore the three C’s: consent, coercion, and captivity. Her stories always include some combination of forced seduction, questionable consent, lack of safe words, indoctrination, and slavery/ownership. Lucy’s books are intended for mature readers who understand the difference between fantasy and reality and who are looking for erotic literature that explores not just the physical but also the psychological and emotional elements of sexual bondage and domination.

Publishing Addiction – The Self Publishing Fix

When Cecile invited me to do a guest blog on All I Want and More, she cautioned me that it couldn't be one for the kids. Well, since just looking at her banner gets me all hot and bothered, I should say not! But it was a good warning – after all my first four books are for children (though one, Ladies in Waiting, is a pretty raunchy historical YA, with lust and intrigue and cross-dressing.) I've been wanting to break out of my good little children's writer shell, so I'm very happy to be on an adult blog!

I won't talk about sex – there's plenty of that here already (mmmm) so what else is adult enough? How about drugs? No this won't be the big children's author drug scandal expose. (I did – I don't now – who hasn't?) But I will tell you about my new addiction, one I only just realized I have: a publishing addiction.

There are a lot of crushing disappointments in publishing, but there are also ecstatic moments of gratification – the first request for a partial from an agent, for example. The first little puff of success – what a rush! But then you need more. A request for a full comes next, then, at last, an offer. No doubt about it, I was hooked!

But it wasn't enough. Sure, it was still a high to see my first book traditionally published, but sales weren't stellar – and when you're under the influence of the Publishing drug, you're deluded enough to be disappointed by anything less than J.K. Rowling success. So you look for your next fix. Another traditional sale is great, but what if it isn't strong enough? And you can't sell more than a book or two a year, so there's a big rush, then a long dry season. You need a new drug to keep that gratification coming.

Thank goodness the wizards in their labs whipped up self-publishing, the ultimate fix for jonesing writers. Now, every few months, I can have a new book or novella or story out, and I can have more of those reviews and fan letters that are heroin to writers. Every time I know that someone has read one of my books, I get a sense of euphoria like you wouldn't believe. Sure, sometimes it's cut with a bad review or snarky comment, but I've been lucky, and most of my career has been full of highs, with only the occasional bummer or crash.

In a way I'm kidding – but just ask any writer who hasn't hit it big yet. We look at our email inbox like it is a scruffy little dealer, promising us our next fix. A request? An offer? A dime bag of glowing reviews? An 8-ball of Amazon sales? I need it, for the endorphin rush that makes life worth living.

I used to want to be published. Now, I think I need to be published, with a real physical need. No rehab for me!

Review: Being Arianna by Cristal Ryder

Being Arianna

Release date: August 15 from Lyrical Press.

Is it better to get lost in your fantasy, or be found in another’s?

Ellie Taylor lives her erotic dreams by masquerading herself as Ariana and visiting the Black Phantom. In this club where anything goes, she plans to perform onstage before an audience, building her sexual excitement to a fever pitch before selecting her man. But Ariana is sidetracked by a tall, blond masked maitre-d. He captivates her and all thoughts of performing are forgotten. He’s every bit as domineering as Ariana and pushes her to her sexual limit. Their true identities concealed, they set out to use each other for pleasure–no risk of entanglement or commitment…but that may prove easier said than done.

I obtained the above information from Ms. Cristal's website!

I was given this book for an honest review and my honest thoughts, so here goes...

I have to say that Ms. Cristal is a hot writer. She rocked my world with No Fantasy Required and now makes my dreams a little more sweeter with Being Arianna. She knows how to get under the mask of what you are thinking and put them down on the pages for us to fan ourselves with. Being Arianna is no exception to that rule. Ms. Cristal takes on one woman's journey to live the private life she loves to lead.... To lead by her own rules... To demand attention and get it... To be the center of that attention...

Have you ever wanted to lose yourself... Lose your identity... To be someone else... Well, Ellie wanted that and that is what she got! Ellie works in the business world - where it is all work and no play. And you know what they say about all work and no play... makes for a dull person, lol.... Well, just wait till you see how Ellie makes up for it. This girls knows how to shake up a dull position and add some spice to it.

I really enjoyed this book... It lures you into the darkness of a club... Where names do not need to be exchanged... But other things can be... Where there are those that can watch, those that can act and those that can be invited to play...

Elli loves to act... She thrives on the act itself... but what she did not count on was meeting a masked man who with one single touch... turned her world upside down and inside out. He consumed her thoughts to the point of distraction away from her goal... of acting on stage for the club...

What I loved with these two was watching the act unfold in the privacy of the darkness... And then to see the twist at the end... That was a treat!

If you are craving a masked treat of a story... one that will set you up to have fun yourself... you may want to see what Being Arianna is all about....

Fly-By Review: The Devil to Pay by Maria Zannini

The Devil To Pay
Book One: Second Chance Series

The road to Hell is paved with good intentions and bad tequila. Shannon McKee finds herself at the end of her rope, and she offers her soul to whoever can save her first.

Unfortunately, she sends that request to both agencies. Shannon’s plea is answered immediately by two men who couldn’t be more different from one another. Yet they share a bond and an affection for the stubborn Miss McKee that even they don’t understand.

When Heaven and Hell demand their payment, Shannon has no choice but to submit. No matter who gets her soul, she’s not getting out of this alive.

***
This is the first book of the Second Chances series. Forget everything you thought you knew about Heaven and Hell. You ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

The above information was obtained from Amazon's website.

I was given this book for an honest review and my honest thoughts, so here goes...

Omg... This is a new to me author and let me say that I will be looking for more to come from her! Ms. Zannini kept me entertained, hot and bothered and wanting my own Heaven and Hell! I have to be honest, the last tag line caught my attention and drew me in - like a fly to a light. I was all her's, from the first page... all the way till the last. It was a very short ride, but well worth it. Hell have no fury like a woman with two men who freaking rock her world!!

Now keep in mind this is a very short story... The build up is quick... But I have to say that the story line is very refreshing!

We have all been there.. a day where everything goes wrong... Nothing goes right... And if there is a chance it can get screwed up, it will. Now add in a woman struggling to keep her head above water... And on the darkest day of her life... she makes a vow she cannot keep... But once those words are out there..... "I would sell my soul for........." there is no taking them back. And that is what happen to poor Shannon.

Shannon found her self swimming in the sea of "I am way in over my head," until drop dead gorgeous, hello save my day walked into her life... But what Shannon did not know... Was what Mr. Drop Dead Gorgeous wanted from her... Or for that matter... What else lay in wait for her!

This is a roller coaster ride story and one you will likely NOT forget. I am eagerly waiting for the next one! It is a must read to find out what happens.... The story must go on!

Ms. Maria, you have found a new follower to your storytelling! You not only made me feel involved in the world you created, you also made me feel for Shannon and fall for her men! And yes ladies... I said Men!

Ms. Maria... I applaud you for an awesome story!! Truly riveting, saucy, hot, and damn straight sexy!!! Awesome job!

And a little FYI ~ Ms. Maria designed the cover!!! Isn't it gorgeous! I know right!!!

Please visit Ms. Maria's website to see what else she has in store.... and what other things she has done!! I am sure she would love a few hello's!! Make her feel welcome!

Touching... Is it a need, a desire... or completely foreplay??

The other day I asked you about kissing...
Wanted to hear your thoughts on what you thought of it...

Today, we will talk about...
Touching...
Fondling...
Or Coupling as some so like to call it...

It is an innocent act
A light touch
Sometimes just a feather of a touch

It is actually a human need to have... touch.
But what feeling does it bring to you when your significant other touches you...

(I obtained this photo from here)

Do you get cozy thoughts of lounging in bed...
Just cuddling....
Lightly touching body parts....

Or is a demand of a want... a need... a desire...
Does you blood come to boil when you are grabbed...
And you know that your significant wants you...

Touching - it is what we do...
It's what we do best!
Or is it.....
More than just merely touches and caresses...

What does touching mean to you??

Because I sure in hell know what it means to me.....

Yep, we are building up to sex eventually... hahahah!

Did you not think the Smutty Hussy would not get there eventually!!!
Until next time....
